(ignoring HSM pun...) (I don't quite know what to do so Im gunna start it like my first RP)
A breeze blew across the park and across the waters of the lake. The girl sitting there frowned, and brushed her hair away from her eyes as she bent over her book at the lakeside. Squinting at the words, she sighed and dug around in her backpack for her glasses, slipped them on and smiled, holding the book at arms length. "That's better," she said happily, and re-curled her knees to her chest as she continued reading.

Leo was walking threw the park when he stumbled on a small Cafe in the middle of nowhere and thought he should take a look. Sadly the sign said 'Closed' so he decided to move on and return to the Cherry Blossom Tree that he had found a few days before.
(Sorry it took so long, friends wouldn't leave me alone. XD)

Chii startled as a boy started walking towards the tree she was sitting under. She got up quickly and dashed up the tree trunk and into the branches. As he drew nearer she looked in horror towards to ground "Oh shit... my bag!" he muttered to herself, fingers gripping the branches harder than really needed.

Leo puzzled by what she was doing just stood there looking at her. 'You don't see that everyday', Leo thought to himself as he picked up the backpack laying on the floor. "This yours?" Leo ask, knowing perfectly well that it was hers to begin with.

Mind frazzled, Chii climbed back down the tree fluidly and jumped easily to the ground. "Um... Yeah..." she said quietly. She held her hand out nervously for her bag.

Leo still a little werided out, handed the girl her bag and just decided to ask the dumbest question he would probably ever ask. "Are you part squirrel?" Leo chucked as he looked up at the tree branches.

"Well Chii, it's nice to meet you." Leo replied patting Chii on the back. 'My name's Leo by the way." Leo was trying to be friendly as to not make her climb the tree again.

Bristling at his touch, Chii willed herself not to run away. No one had talked to her in such a long time and she was determined not to screw it up. "Oh.. It's nice to meet you," she said polietly.

"So, I guess you like this spot, too. It's been my favorite place to just take a nap or enjoy the scenery of the park." Leo explaining his reasons for being there. "I'm sorry... if I scared you though." Leo trying to apologize to Chii.

Looking at his face, Chii thought to herself, I don't think he lying... Dammit! she suddenly yelled in her head. Stop being so paranoid! she told her mental self. She smiled at him. "Yeah. I can't seem to get peace at home so i come here after school most days to catch up on some reading."

Leo looked at her a little closer when he noticed she was carrying books with her. 'So that's what was in that backpack..." Leo chuckled. "But you are right Chii, this is a good place for peace n' quiet." Leo knowing this because he has actually fallen asleep in that very spot.

Nodding a few times, Chii looked down at her feet as it got really quiet. "So um.... What's up?" she said weakly, mentally hitting herself for being stupid.

"Well, nothing much just moved here a few weeks ago and I'm still adjusting to life here." Leo now thinking, 'Why am I giving my life story to her when she probably doesn't care'. Mentally face palms himself repeatedly.

She looked up surprised. "Oh really? Where did you move from?" Chii asked curiously. "I haven't met many people not form here." She sat down facing the lake and patted the ground next to her.

"Well, I moved here from America. And there was this 'incident' that happened at my old school and I had to move somewhere far away." Now Leo began to have a sad look on his face remembering his mother and all that he left behind.

Chii hugged her knees as she looked out onto the lake's surface. "I know how you feel. Not from America, but moving is hard," she said sadly. "It hurts those leaving and those left behind."

"There's really only one thing that I wanted to protect... and I couldn't even do that much." Leo now starting to open up, decided it would be better for both of them if he tried to dodge that subject. "So where did you move from, Chii?" Leo asked putting his smile back on as if it were a mask.

Hearing him change the subject, Chii looked back up and her expression got sad. Why do people always wear those fake smiles.. She sighed. "It's a long story but the fact is, I don't even remember. I was little and ran away from my parent's for their own safety. We lived in the middle of no where and all I remember was running as far as I could. I ended up here, and got adopted," she said fiddling with the hem of the skirt that was her school uniform.

Leo was a little disturbed by her sad face, which made him worry. "So, you ran away to protect the people you care about. That shows true selflessness Chii, you should be proud." Leo trying to cheer her up, which he thought would most likely have no effect. 'But I guess I kinda avoided her question, huh.' Leo still mentally face palming himself without letting up.

She shrugged. "I guess. Or it could be cowardice. Either way it kept them out of the loop so they wouldn't get hurt." She stood up, bending over to brush off her socks and skirt and then turned to face Leo. "I should probably get going. Where do you live?" she asked curiously.

"Your kinda already here..." Leo explained as he knew she was smart enough to figure it out. He didn't have anywhere to live at the moment. "But it's okay I'm fine with the park... but don't tell anyone I live here okay, cause they might evict me?" Leo went close to whisper in her ear.

Chii blushed when he got too close and looked around the park. "But... where? In trees or something?" she asked, now worried for Leo. "It's almost fall you could get sick!"
