Shadowfax's pouting face melted into a huge, toothy grin spreading all across her cheeks. "Good!" She cried out, tugging on his arm, bringing him up to the stand. "What flavor does Leo-Samma want?"

Leo smiled and looked at the list of flavors on the list. "Strawberry..." He said in a almost whisper voice to her as he didn't know what else to do at this point.

Shadowfax put her hands on the counter for the stand and leaned forward, her back arched downward. "Ni ichigo, kudasai!" She said to the teller.
"Oke," the man said.
When they received the shaved ice, she put two fingers up to her forehead, saluting him. "Domo!"

Shadowfax took a tight hold on Leo's wrist and yanked it upward, putting one of the cones of shaved ice into his hand. She reached over to the side and grabbed two plastic spoons. "You eat it with this thing," she told him, holding one up for him. "It's really good."

Shadowfax nodded and scooped a bit of the flavored ice on to the tip of her spoon, pushing it between her lips. She looked up to him quizically and blinked, then pulled the spoon back and scooped up more. "It's easy," she said, starting to walk ahead. "Now come on. We need to finish these up quick. The library drones don't like it when we bring food in."

"Okay." Leo said as he quickly began to scoop his into his mouth but after half way eating it he felt a great pain in his head as he held it with his left hand. "Ow ow ow ow ow...." He said as he tried to make it stop.

Shadowfax looked up at him and laughed. She reached up and took a lock of his hair into her hand, pulling him down to eye level. "You've got a brainfreeze!" She said. "Now trust me, if you wanna make it go away, you have to think of ICE! As hard as you can! Ice, ice, ice!"

Shadowfax moved in front of him, staring at him intently with her eyes narrowed sharply on his nose. After a minute or two when it seemed like the pain beyond the walls of his skull was starting to reside, she put one finger up to his forehead and pushed it back as hard as she could. Then she laughed at the look on his face when she did it.
"Kisshu always does that to me when I get a brainfreeze. It's not very nice, but it makes me feel a whole bunch better!"

Leo looked down at Shadow and smiled, not minding it at all. "I've been through worse, this is actually kinda nice." He said as the pain started to leave from the sides of his head.

Shadowfax took the plastic cone out from under his hand and tossed it off to the side with her own, letting them fall into a trash can a few inches away. She stretched her arms up over her head and opened her mouth, yawning loudly.
"Neeee...." She exhaled. Her head dropped and she looked up with only her eyes. "The library is just a block that way..."

Shadowfax took a firm hold on his hand, walking many paces ahead while yanking him along for the ride. She seemed dead set on getting to that damn library.
"Leo is really slow!" She whined, looking at him from over her shoulder.

"Well fine then, maybe he should speed up..." Leo said smiling as he back to run with her hand and hand, he didn't like being called slow by her for some reason... he wondered why.

Shadowfax frowned and pulled him back to a normal pace. She put her lower lip into a pout and yanked him into the library entrance. "Leo should hide his ears and tail... The library drones don't like things like that too much..."

"Oh, alright then." Leo said as he closed his eyes and in about a minute his ears and tail were gone. He opened them back up and smiled warmly at her. "See, all gone."

Shadowfax nodded once, then regained her firm grip on his wrist, pulling him through the entryway. The doors were cut into long planks of wood, many celtic crosses carved into their surfaces. There were slick slabs of thin glass that stretched about a yard through the middle of the carvings, letting all see the inside of the library; Which, too, seemed to be made entirely of glass and wood. ((Reference to my FAVORITE library EVER))
When Shadowfax pulled Leo through the entry, one of the women at the desk pushed her glasses up past her nose. She was a near ghastly looking human, her hair knotted into a frizzy, grey nest atop her head; Dustmites caught between her every skinfold. "Hello, Dear," she called out.
Shadowfax pulled Leo to a stop and bowed her head, respectfully. "Good morning, Mrs. Aidakawa."
"Whose your friend?"
"Leo."
"Leo?"
"Mm-hm."
"Does he have a last name?"
"Probably..."
Despite her words, and the librarian's clear distress with his pressence at her side, Shadowfax pulled Leo along again, bringing him near the many shelves.
