Kisshu grabbed Shadowfax up by the collar of her shirt, pulling her into a sitting position. "Shadow, wake up. Now."
Waving a hand in front of her face, he forced her awake.
"Go away..." Shadowfax groaned.
"You, cat-boy. Get up."

Leo slowly began to open his eyes as his ears twitched as he stretched while yawning. "What is it...?" He asked sleepily as he rubbed his eyes, trying to wake up.

Kisshu let go of Shadowfax's collar and took a hard hold on Leo's. "How dare you?" He snarled, glaring at him straight in the eye. "What exactly are you trying to pull here?"
"Leo didn't do anything! It's Shadowfax's fault, she's the one to blame! Leave him alone!"

Leo looked at Kisshu with his happy expression slowly fading as he grabbed Kisshu's wrist and squeezed down on it. His eyes began to slowly become red, a very bloody red... "I did nothing wrong..." He said seriously.

Shadowfax sat up on her knees, gently putting her hands on Leo and Kisshu's. She looked up to Kisshu, her face sincere and apologetic. "No fighting," she said, quietly. "Shadowfax doesn't want any fighting. Kisshu always says that Shadowfax isn't supposed to let her friends get hurt, so go away."

Leo saw the pure feeling coming from Shadowfax's face, and knew he couldn't do something that made her sad or upset. "Alright..." He whispered as he released Kisshu and his eyes turned back to there soft brown.

Kisshu scoffed, pulling his hand back from Shadowfax's hold.
"Fine. But I'm not feeding him, understand?"

"I can gather my own food..." Leo said as he began rolling up the comforter and gathering up the pillows. "And it's not like you're letting me stay again anyways..."

Shadowfax moaned, quietly, bringing a hand up to her face to rub the sleep out of her eyes. "Mnn..." Her head dropped back, her mouth drawing open to let in a deep rush of air. Letting the yawn fade in and out, Shadowfax let her head drop forward, standing. "Where will Leo go?" She asked.

"Well I'm probably going to go back to my tree like all stray cats go when they have no homes..." Leo said as he put her stuff away before walking out of Shadowfax's room. He then walked over to her and placed his hand on her head. "You don't have to worry about it Shadow, I've lived this way since I was born... it's really the only way I can live now."

Kisshu folded his arms over his chest in utter discontent.
"Bah. It's not as if I can let her live unhappily, I suppose," he muttered, irritated. "She wouldn't be of any use to us, otherwise."
He moved behind Shadowfax with one quick stride, putting both of his hands on her shoulders. "You may stay, but don't interfere with our work."

Leo nodded and looked at Shadow, smiling at her a bit. "Well, looks like you got what you wanted Shadow... I guess I'm staying." He whispered at her.

Shadowfax first looked up to Kisshu, then snapped her head down to look at Leo with a grin. She laughed out loud once, springing off of the floor and throwing her arms around Leo.
"Yay~!!" She cried out. "Thank you, Kisshu!!"
"Meh... Don't mention it. Ever."

Leo smiled and hugged Shadowfax back, spinning around with her still holding on. "Yes, it's really kind of you... I'll try not to be a bother." He said smiling at Kisshu.

Kisshu rolled his eyes, looking away. The mushiness of all of this was getting on his nerves. Possibly... striking a cord?

"So Shadow, what do you want to do today?" He asked smiling happily at her, looking at her as he saw she was really happy that he could stay there with her.

Shadowfax stood up and bolted for her bedroom. With a quick doorslam, she returned after about two minutes, newly dressed in a dark blue sweater that was far-too big on her (maybe it once belonged to one of her room mates?) and a green pair of short-shorts. As she was running out, she kicked on a pair of white tennis-shoes and threw her hands up in the air. The sweater sleeves were so long that they flat out covered up every bit of her hand.
"Leo should take Shadowfax to the library today, kay!" She cried out, happily. "Kisshu and Pai don't let me go alone, so we should go together! Come on!"
Without a second word or a hint of approval, she took a tight hold on Leo's wrist and yanked him off towards the front door.

Leo laughed happily as she was so energetic, following Shadow to where ever this 'Library' was. It was strange, Shadowfax was his first real friend... unlike the humans that just ran away in fear or laughed and made fun of him. He was very happy to have her as his friend.... he was happy to have a friend.

Already knowing the way to the library, Shadowfax tugged on Leo's sleeve mercilessly, eventually skidding to a stop. "Oh!" She gasped out, letting go of his shirt cuff and jolting off towards a small corner-street stand. Looking over her shoulder, she shouted, "Mite-Mite!!" (Look-Look) Her hand flew up, pointing at a sign from under the fabric of her sweater. The kanji on the sign read Kakigori, or in english, Shaved Ice.

Leo walked over to Shadow with a smile on his face as he met with her. "Do you want some of this... Shaved Ice?" He asked happily at her.

Shadowfax straightened up her posture, bringing two fingers up to her lips, thoughtfully. "Well... Shadow knows that she's getting one... but does Leo want one?" She asked him, blinking her wide, brown eyes pleadingly at him.

Leo looked at her, tapping her forehead with his fingertips. "I've never had one of these 'Shaved Ices' before, so I wouldn't know..." He said smiling at her. "But if Shadow would like one then I can get her one..." He said pulling some of the money he'd found in the park once to pay for it, knowing at least what they used for money.

Shadowfax shook her head, making a small whimpering noise in objection. "Shadowfax has money left over from when Aoyama-Samma loaned her two-thousand yen for her Romeo and Juliet book. She can buy her own, but she wants to know if Leo would like to try one for the first time." She pulled her sleeves up to her face, accidentally covering her lips with the fabric. Was she trying to give a praying notion? "Please, please, PLEASE Leo-Samma?"
