Leo smiled and followed after Shadowfax, not minding at all where he slept. "Alright..." He said grinning as he entered the room.

Shadowfax tossed the two pillows down on to the floor, then ran back down the hall to her bedroom. She returned with a rather thick comforter, laying it down on the floor.
She yawned sitting down on the comforter. "I'm tired..."

Leo sat next to her and smiled as he rubbed her ears more. "Then you should sleep silly, then you won't be tired anymore..." He said grinning.

Shadowfax shook her head, leaning forward on her wrists as her tail flicked back and forth overhead. "Shadow doesn't want to!" She whined, just above a whisper. "She wants to stay up more and talk to her new friend!" Another large yawn captivated her throat.

Leo smiled even more as he took Shadowfax's tail gently in his other hand as he rubbed her ears. "Alright then Shadow, what would you like to talk about...?" He asked whispering as he played with her ears and tail.

Shadowfax sighed, sitting up straight. "Shadow doesn't know," she said, quietly. "What does Leo want to talk about?"

"Hmm..." Leo hummed as he laid down and stared at the ceiling as he thought. "Why did you want me to stay the night so badly...?" He asked.

Shadowfax blinked, shifting her bodyweight so that she could face him, an innocent looking grin on her face. "Well, silly! Leo was a sad kitty! Sad kitties can't stay outside in the cold, or they get sick and start sneezing a lot."

Leo looked at Shadowfax and grinned. "Well this sad kitty has been outside for a long time, he's used to it..." He said giving her a soft smile.

Shadow frowned again, stretching out along the comforter. "Well... Leo shouldn't have to get used to that kind of thing. He should know that by now." She looked up to him, curiously. "What is Leo, anyway? He is not of Kisshu's breed, nor is he of the human genetics. He looks a lot like Shadowfax, but there's something different about him."

"Well I'm neither a human nor an alien, I'm just a half-breed that was a make up of human and alien DNA." He said looking back at her, his smile faded. "A half-breed is really just a freak on both sides of the spectrum that is human and alien...." He whispered to himself.

Shadowfax flicked her tail again, putting a finger up to her lips and looking away thoughtfully. "Half and half? So it's sort of like the best of both worlds. Leo isn't deformed, or anything. He's just really different."

Shadowfax looked up to him, blinking twice. "Eh? What is 'hate'?" She asked, sitting up on her knees and rocking back and forth. "Is it... something Shadow is supposed to have?"

"Hate is something that is derived by fearing something enough to dislike it..." Leo said looking at Shadowfax and placing his hand on her cheek. "And no, Shadow doesn't need hate..."

Shadowfax looked at Leo, her face unphased. Hearing that she didn't need it relieved her, and she grinned. "Well, that's good! 'Cause Shadow doesn't think she really understands," she said, giggling.

Leo smiles and rubbed both Shadowfax's ears with his hands. "You know you're really cute when you do that, you silly kitty." Leo said grinning as he tickled her ears.

Shadowfax stretched her arms out across the comforter, practically collapsing with her head against the pillow. "Shadowfax wants to know about Leo. Where did Leo come from? Why was he alone in the park?" She asked him. "Nobody wants to be lonely, so why was Leo by himself...?" Suddenly, she lifted her head, yawning under the soothing feel of his hands on her animal ears. "Hmm..."

"I was born one this planet just like a human. And the reason I was in the park is because that is my home, I live there because I have no where else to go and really can't be around humans can I..." Leo explained as he laid down as well. "If you don't understand then that's alright Shadow, it's not really that important where I came from..."

Shadowfax's chocolate brown eyes grew heavy as her physical being drifted away from this world. She let her eyelids flutter downward, her eyelashes gently grazing the top of her cheeks. Snuggling up into the pillow she'd reserved for herself, she yawned again, pulling her legs up into a fetal position.
"Leo shouldn't live in the park..." She whispered, sleepily. "He's going to get sick if he has to stay out there... and then you'll sneeze a lot, and it's... not nice..."

Leo smiled as he parted Shadowfax's bangs from her face. "It's alright Shadow, it's the fate of a half-breed..." He whispered as he kissed her forehead before leaning back and laying down on his pillow "And you can sleep if you really are tired you know, I don't mind."

Shadowfax nestled her cheek further into the fabric of the coushin's lace, breathing softly as she drifted off into a slow dream, half awake. "Mm... Shadow doesn't want to sleep if Leo's not going to sleep, silly..."

"Then I'll sleep too..." Leo said smiling as he moved his hand gently to her cheek and brushed up against it lightly as he lowered his head and slowly closed his eyes.

Seemingly as soon as Shadowfax fell into REM sleep, she was yanked back to the real world by the sound of Kisshu's voice, and eventually her body being shaken.
"Get up." Kisshu said, sternly.
Shadowfax wanted to complain that it'd only been a few minutes since she'd fallen asleep, but the light pouring into the room suggested otherwise.
"I told you not to sleep in the same room as him."
"No... You said he couldn't use my bedroom... Go away..."

Leo was sound asleep with a peaceful expression on his face as he couldn't hear Kisshu's words at all. This was the first time he'd ever felt safe sleeping somewhere other than his tree... he wanted to sleep just a little bit longer before he had to leave.
