Leo was sitting in the park up on one of his favorite trees as he tried to get to sleep, but seemed to not be able to sleep for some reason. He thought it best if he should take a walk to calm his nerves on this cold night.

Shadowfax looked back over her shoulder, her thoughts anxiously swarming around in her head about mixed things; When to come home, Shakesphiere, what would Dark Miu think?, would she get in trouble for sneaking out? She could feel her body starting to tremble in an extreme discomfort, but she couldn't figure out why. This feeling was unfamiliar, but she couldn't sleep in that musky room.

Leo continued his walk through the cold thin air of the park as it seem a little different then the usual night he spent alone in the park. He shivered a little as he didn't know what to do that was causing this strange feeling, but he didn't mind it since it was something new.

Shadow lifted a hand up to her face, pushing a few pieces of hair behind her ear, staring down at the concrete as she walked. The park was her usual safe haven for these nights, when the mockingbirds would sing their lovely songs. A sigh escaped her pale lips as she lifted her head up to the sky, admiring the glowing circle in the sky. It had always captivated her, ever since her birth into this body... There weren't very many birds singing tonight, but she could have sworn that she could hear a cat purring in a distraught manner.

Leo yawned as he started to be more awake then he had planned to be and now wasn't going to get any sleep tonight. He then just sighed a quick sigh as he continued walking down the path with his hands in his pocket and his eyes closed as he hoped he didn't bump into anything. Sadly to say that didn't go as he had hoped...

Shadowfax could see a darkened shadow looming within the dark side of the park. She cocked her head to the side a bit, wondering to herself why such a person would be ailing on a night like this. It was a very lovely night, the birds were singing and the moon was bright. The only thing that she couldn't stand was that her body and lungs were trembling, wishing to be back inside for some unknown reason. Moving quickly, she strided over to the shadow, tapping him on the shoulder once. "How come?" She asked him, her voice soft and lucid.

Leo jumped at the sudden tap on his shoulder and popped out his ears in surprise. "Wait... what? How come what?" He asked the mysterious girl in the park that just showed up out of nowhere. Leo was confused by the whole thing of his ears having popped out and yet he wasn't hiding them, I guess he thought she wouldn't see them while it was this dark or maybe he didn't care at the moment. Either way he looked at the girl and wondered.

Shadowfax blinked her wide eyes at him, her hands clasped neatly behind your back. "How come you make the noises?" She asked him. Clearly... He didn't seem to understand. She held her hands out in front of her like cat paws, batting at him while pretending to meow, sadly. "How come?"

Leo just blinked as he tried to answer her as best he could, "I don't know really I guess I'm a little uneasy right now." He said smiling as he hoped he'd given a good enough answer in words.

Shadowfax put her lower lip into a bit of a pout. She tried to remember hard what Dark Miu had said to her about these kinds of feelings that people usually felt, but she'd never really liked listening to the lessons about human social lives. The knowledge completely avoided her. "Uh..." She lifted her hands up to his face slowly, but her fingers tightly gripped on his cheeks, stretching his lips into what she recalled to be a smile. "Uh... That's not right..."

"You mean my face?" Leo said smiling as he chuckled a little bit, not really sure why she was stretching his face like this. It wasn't like a normal person to grab someone's face and start stretching it out, but when your Leo nothing is ever normal.

Shadowfax frowned, pulling back a bit. She examined him thoroughly. "Uhh... that's not... wait... I can't--" She groaned a bit, putting her hands in her pockets. Dark Miu had always told her it wasn't proper etiquiette to randomly touch people she didn't know. Oops. "Your face IS the right kind of look now... Keep it that way, cuz the yucky noises stoppped. Having too many bad noises in you can make you a very angry person. Like, uh--" She bit her tongue, deciding not to bring up her room mates.

"Wow, I make yucky noises. I didn't know that." Leo said still smiling as he did what she asked and kept it that way. "And who are you talking about bad noises that would make me an angry person?" He asked as he lowered his head down to her eye level and smiled.

Shadowfax looked around for a moment, trying to capture her thoughts into a proper explanation, but it only started making her head hurt. She looked upward, her eye catching a blue monarch fluttering in the chilled breeze. Her limbs trembled again underneath her thin T-shrit as she slunk away from the boy and over towards the butterfly. She batted at it with her fingertips gently, meowing in a whisper.

Leo blinked as he heard her meow a little bit as she started batting the butterfly with her fingertip. "So I guess you are like a cat aren't you, batting at a butterfly as if playing with it." He said smiling as he walked over to her again.

Shadowfax heard his voice again, the words a little bit unfamiliar to her typical understanding. She looked up to him, her limbs freezing. The graceful being he had called a "butterfly" fluttered further away with every second she sat there staring at him. Her big, brown eyes blinked a few times. "Butterfly?" She repeated, forming the syllabuls carefully on her lips. As if pouncing, she looked back to the unfamiliar creature and started to chase it again.

"Actually, she's more like a kitten now..." Leo said smiling as he followed her as she chased the butterfly. "So you haven't ever seen a butterfly before have you?" Leo asked as he placed his hands in his pockets, as the cold air was starting to get to him after so many cold nights.

Shadowfax stopped again, this time coming to a full pause. She stared at him with tense eyes, as if she were completely confused, but intense on figuring out his meaning. Her eyes showed a lost, foggy look. "Do you mean the caterpillar with wings?" She asked, her voice at a hush, as if it would spoil the evening if she were to speak to loudly.

"Yeah, the butterfly. You haven't seen one before, right?" Leo asked again, with a smile still covering his face.

"Of course I've seen them. I just didn't know... I didn't know they had such a pretty name..." She looked up towards the butterfly, slowly, watching it fly away. Her eyes widened only slightly as she thought about it. "Butter...fly..." She echoed. Another chill attacked her body, though she could not identify this either. "It's very uncomfortable out here tonight..." She said, quietly.

"It's like this every night, you get used to it..." Leo said smiling as she must not have been out in the park on cold nights like this very often.

Shadowfax looked up at the strange boy, running up to him quickly. "You know, it's not quite as uncomfortable at the abandoned inn," she said, her eyes bright and wide. "I'm sure that Kisshu and Pai wouldn't mind if they understood the circumstances of how uncomfortable it is. You're getting the cold jolts too, aren't you?" She was referring to the chills.

"Yeah, but once you get used to it you don't mind it much. Besides, I've lived like this for a long time... I'm used to it." He said nicely as he patted her on the head, not wanting to be a bother to her or anyone else.

"You won't come, then...?" She asked, raising her clasped hands up to her chest. It almost seemed to worry her. After all, the air stung like fire even though it seemed so brisk, like sticking your head underwater... But there was no liquid, so it stung at her lungs, too. A moan escaped her throat as the thought of leaving another person out to sleep in this kind of night.
