Katherine lowered her head a bit, her eyes stuck on the floor. How could she be sure if this was what she wanted? On one hand, the natural woman in her was extremely overjoyed that she would be able to raise a child with the man that she loved. However, the teenager side of her was screaming, "I DON'T KNOW HOW TO RAISE A KID!!"
Only one of her parents was alive, but she considered him to be dead. She'd even told Kisshu that he'd died that night with her mother. It wasn't as if he could ask her imprisoned Dad for advice, let alone money.
She placed her head on Kisshu's shoulder, her hands placed gently over her stomach to feel the child's small assaults on the protective wall.

Kisshu could see the conflict in her eyes and gently brought her closer, holding her tightly. "I'm not trying to make your decision for you, just telling you the facts. If you come with me, you will have Pai to deliver the baby for you, you will have me at your side, you will have Taruto bugging the hell out of you with questions about babies, you wil have everything and anything you ask for with regards to cost....I'll make sure you're taken care of." He stroked her hair. "And if you don't want the baby, then...I'll go with you, to that place. I'll be at your side. I won't leave you." He promised. The thought of a place where humans killed there young disgusted him, but for Katherine he would suffer if he must.

Katherine shook her head, quickly. "I would never have an abortion! It's murder!!" She whispered, sharply. "If I'd found out that it wasn't going to work... I'd hold interviews and give him to a family worth the adoption fees..."
She thought long and hard.
"What are we going to do about money? About school? About the essentials for keeping her or him alive?"

He was relieved that she would never kill their baby. "You'll never have to worry about money again, sweetheart. It's of little to no importance now. And as for school, we'll cross that bridge when it comes." He kissed her softly on the lips. "Trust me; everything will work out just fine."

Katherine was, even now, still stunned by his kiss. Even when it was just a gentle little peck. She sighed softly, resting her forehead against his chest. She was extremely quiet as she spoke. "Will I be dead before then...?"

Katherine's eyes narrowed, fading into a soft shade of blue slowly as she thought to herself. What about him? When the time came, would he have the mental capacity to keep himself under control? There were so many things that could go wrong, but she knew that she wasn't going to stand there and be a victim anymore. Shivering underneath his hands, she pulled down on her large sweater, trying to push it down to her knees.
"I understand..." She said, softly. "But you can't expect me just to stand back and watch if things get bad... you know that. I'm no Mew Mew, but... I can try..."

He nodded. "Of course. If I ever flipped out, I would want you to defend yourself. Protect you and the baby at all costs." He informed her, his voice strong. "Kill me if that's what it takes. You and the baby have to stay safe. I can't imagine myself losing it with you ever again, but if it ever happened..." His voice became a whisper. "You're what matters most."

"I won't kill you!!" She snapped, suddenly. Gasping at the sound of her own voice, she brought a hand up to her mouth. Raul stirred in the other room, and she listened in the silence at the sound of his bedsheets crackling underneath him. As he quited again, she sighed, softly. "I won't kill you... There wouldn't be any capability within my being that could do that... I'm sorry... I'm not that strong..."

Kisshu sighed. He should have known that, what with her gentle disposition. "Then run away from me. Run far far away to a place where I can never hurt you." He took her face into his hands, staring deep into her eyes. "Please promise me that. I could never live with myself if I did something to you."

Katherine shook her head, gasping softly in her efforts to supress her sobs. She looked up to him, her eyes a darker shade of blue than they had ever been since the day she'd first met him. "And just where do you expect for me to go, huh?" Home to her psychopath brother? Back to the states, back to her Dad?

It's most likely tht none of that will ever happen. I'll do everything in my power to be good to you and our child, Kat. I want to be a good husband. And I want to be a good daddy."

It took her a moment to realize what he'd just said to her. When it finally hit her, the word "husband," her head shot up to stare at him, her eyes instantly snapping to green. "Wh-What are you saying Kisshu--?!" She gasped out.

Katherine could only stare at him, her stomach churning. It felt as though her insides were being torn and smooshed back together, yet it gave her a delightful sensation in her chest that put a smile on her face and tears in her eyes. "I-I--" She wanted to spit it out. Yes, yes! She wanted to scream. Instead though, she started to see black around her eyes, eventually fading into complete darkness.
She had fainted, falling forward into his hold.

Though Katherine's body lay unconcious on his arm, the tears continued to drip down her cheeks, a smile curling sweetly across her lips. The shock of his proposal had caused her to literally fall over herself. She awoke only seconds later, suprised to see herself staring at the floor. "Huh..."

"Kat, are you ok?! You fainted!" Kisshu fussed over her, trying to help her recover from her spell. "I'm sorry, Kat. Was it too soon?" He hadn't meant to upset his lover. he had only wanted what was best for them.

Kisshu held her close, his eyes filling with tears. He would finally be able to have the family that he had always longed for. He kissed from her neck up her cheek to her lips, happy tears streaming down his face and painting his cheeks. "Katherine..." He whispered. "Katherine, Katherine, my love....A baby...we're gonna have a baby!"

Katherine held on to him, tightly, savoring this happiness that resonated off of his very body. After all, when things got bad around the area, when his boss finally woke up, things weren't going to be very happy anymore.
