Katherine leaned back into him, smiling, content with the feel of his body heat. His hands were cold, his cheeks were cold, but his lips, his chest... Everything else about him was as warm and soft as a human being. She lifted the thick covers back over herself, sliding her legs back towards the end of the bed, lying down next to him. Sighing softly, she snuggled herself into his warm chest, her head rested upon his shoulder.
It really didn't matter what the future held. At this point in time, it was her favorite part of the night. The part where she could lay and think for hours on end if need be without anything to distract her. Only now it was different.

Kisshu smiled as she snuggled into him. She claimed to be cold, but her body heat felt astounding. He rubbed her bare back softly with one hand, using the other to play with her hair. His skin still prickled and his senses still exploded with joy. It was the most amazing thing he had ever felt in his life. "Was that as good for you as it was for me, Kat?" He asked her. He hoped it was, quite sincerely.

Katherine felt her cheeks grow hot as she spoke, her eyes shut tightly. "Y-Yeah..." She muttered, burrying her nose into the blanket. "Though... I can't help but wonder if it was right not to use the proper safety precautions..."
Did he even know about that, and the risks taken by having sex with a human girl? Was it the same with his people?

"Safety precautions?" He cocked an eyebrow. "What are you talking about Kat? Everything about what we just did was safe." He told her. "It's not like I would hurt you or anything. Silly girl." He ruffled her hair teasingly. "Is that why you're all shaky? You were afraid I would hurt you?"

Katherine's eye's narrowed down on the covers, eventually shutting themselves. She sighed softly, realizing that she couldn't tell him. How could she? It would hurt him so badly...
"Yeah... You're right... Sorry..." She exhaled, curling up closer to him.
She fell into a restless sleep in less than a few minutes.

Kisshu could tell she was keeping something from him...but what. She fell asleep quickly, but she seemed all but at peace. This worried him. What could have troubled her after the beauty they had shared.

Weeks passed, and things seemed generally normal in the grand scheme of things. There hadn't been any alien attacks on television, and Katherine found herself meeting up with Kisshu somehow at least once a day. Be it walking around, at school, or at her bedroom window at night, he was always there. On a day when she asked for privacy (by telling him she was having menstral issues) however, she bought an at home pregnancy test and used it behind her brother's back.
She stared down in horror as the little, electric monitor flashed the word POSITIVE with a smiley face on the side.
"Oh, shit..."

Kisshu was stuck in a state of bliss. Katherine loved him and let him stay by her side all the time. She will still shaky at times, but still, she let him into her life all the way. She held him close. And it was wonderful. He sighed, he was so bored. She had asked him to give her some space. Said it was that time of the month or something. He laid back, trying to figure out what to do without her.

Katherine put slammed her hand down on the counter, wringing the other one through her hair. "This can't be possible...!!" She gasped out. "This can't be right...!!" But it was. It was every bit as real as the tears flooding from her eyes. She wrapped her arms around herself, feeling her stomach with every bit of her flesh. How was she going to break it to him...?

Kisshu was so BORED. Just a peek at her couldn't hurt... He teleported to her house. "Just a glance to make sure she's ok, then I'm gone." He promised himself. He peeked in her window, not seeing anyone there, he opened the window and slid in. Just a peek.

Katherine glanced up quickly as she heard her window slide open. She stood quickly, yanking open the bathroom door. "Kisshu...!!" She cried out desperately. In just two sprints she had her arms flung tightly around him, tighter than she'd ever held him before. "Kisshu...!! Kisshu...!"

Katherine looked up to him, her eyes filled with heavy tears. She pulled away slightly, grabbing on to one of his hands. "Tell me what you feel..." She whispered, placing his hand gently on her stomach. Her gaze never left his own face, trying to capture any expression that may have come on when the thing finally kicked again.

Kisshu was surprised. Why was his hand on her stomach? Then he felt it, a light thump. That couldn't be what he thought it was! "Kat...what is that?!" He asked, his eyes locked on hers. "What...what did I just feel?"

Katherine could see the terror in his eyes, and couldn't bare to see it. She ducked her head low, letting go of his hand and stuffing her own into her pockets. "That's... That's you're new son or daughter... saying hello..." She said, her voice just above a whisper. The fear hung loosely on her voice, as if the wrong words would make her shatter completely. "Human girls... we need protection when we have sex... 'Birth control,' as it's called... I was so driven that night that I didn't stop to think..."

Katherine looked up to him, her face unreadable. She stared at his eyes to make sure that this reaction was real, that she wasn't just dreaming. This wasn't the reaction she'd expected. Most men would have rejected a newborn child, even though it was their fault.
"K-Kisshu..." She gasped out, her voice trembling. "Y-Yeah... it's a baby... I'm pregnant... and it's all yours..."

A baby...and it was all his... Kisshu stared at her in awe for a moment before hugging her close, lifting her into the air, and letting out a joyous cry. "Oh you wonderful, beautiful woman!" He set her down, running over the whole situation in his mind. "This isn't exactly the best world to bring a child into right now, but it's a rel baby sharing our DNA! He pressed his ear to her stomach, trying to hear the baby's movements.

Katherine couldn't believe what was happening. She stared down at him in amazement, tears still spilling from her eyes. These were joyous tears, though... She hadn't expected this sort of reaction. Smiling softly, she laid a gentle hand on the top of his head. "We have to be quiet, Kisshu..." She said, softly. "Raul doesn't know, and quite frankly, I don't want him to find out..."

Kisshu looked back up at her and cocked his head to the side. "Listen Kat, I don't know about human women, but but our women grow," he motioned to his stomach, as if it was larger than it was. "when they have babies. If it's the case with you, then won't he find out?"

Katherine bit her lip, her face suddenly sinking into a hurt expression. She clenched her hands into small fists, pulling back away from him. "You don't understand, do you?" She asked him, her body clearly tense. "Raul is bipolar on an extreme level. He's mentally sick. If he were to find out about this without me telling him, or even if I did tell him, he would force me to have an abortion. And if I didn't, he would either kick me out on the streets or..."
She stomped a foot, turning away and taking a few steps towards the door.

Kisshu hadn't thought of it that way. He pulled her back, not letting her get away with it. "I'm sorry. Don't be upset. I hadn't considered that." He kissed her temple. "You'll live with me then. And if you want the baby, well keep it. And I'll take care of you." He closed his eyes as he held onto her. "Jesus, Katherine, I'll spoil you."
