Alice didn't like the tone of Ryou's voice as he said this. "Of course I'm Kitten-Lad's friend!" She hugged Leo without thinking.

Leo just stood there his ears popped out from the surprise of her hug.
Ryou looked at them and started to think until he spoke yet again. "A cat and a fox huh.... you'll make a great couple." Ryou joked as he walked back over to the group.
Leo was really embarrassed at that point to where he could barely speak, "Co-co- co- couple."

Alice blushed deeply and let go of Leo quickly. "I-I-I-we- us-couple?!" Her voice raised to a high pitched squeak. Her mouth continued to move wordlessly.

Alice couldn't look at Leo after Ryou's words. She couldn't lose her only friend because she had a crush on him. She would bury her feelings if she had to.
"Don't mind him. He just likes picking on people. He's a JERK that way." Ichigo stuck her tongue out at the older man.
ooc/ Do we know how old he is exactly? I'm rewatching the series and as far as I've gotten they refer to him as a high school student.

Ryou just laughed as he ignored the Ichigo.
Leo was still standing there still a little embarrassed about the whole hugging couple thing. In fact he just kept quiet for a sec and was glad his ears were out, because if they weren't already they surely would be now.

"Alice, you should meet all the others. We're all like you, you see. As you know I'm Ichigo." She motioned to a girl in a blue uniform. "This is Mint." Next was a girl with green hair in a green uniform. "Lettuce." A younger girl in an orange uniform. "Pudding." and finally a girl with a purple uniform. "And this is Zakuro."

Alice was still unnerved by the prospect of meeting so many strangers but it was being to feel so...perfect. Like home... "Um...so...what do I do now? I mean, I know you're like me...and Leo said something about being some sort of group...?"

Ryou now stopped laughing and became serious all of a sudden.
"Well, you will work here at the cafe' so that if we need you we can call you. You will fight the aliens along with us as the rest of them do, and if you have nowhere else to go, you will be staying in one of the guest rooms." Ryou trying to explain in one quick explanation.

"Well then, now to get you fitted for your uniform." Ryou said as he clapped signaling the girls to take her to the other room.
Leo just stood there and smiled as he started to think this would be the last time he may ever see his friend. It saddened him deeply as he started to walk to the entrance of the cafe' looking as if he was going to leave.

"Um wait! Leo!" Alice crawled out of the pile of girls trying to shove her into some room to do God knows what sort of terrible and creepy things. She ran to the boy and grabbed his arm to stop him from leaving. "When can I see you again? Where can I find you? You're my closest friend, so I can't just let you go like that!" She didn't care that everyone else was watching with amusement. None of them mattered. She just didn't want to lose Leo.
ooc/ Thanks for that proxy by the way. Kortnee said it works at our school too, so I'm gonna use it at lunch today.

Leo just smiled at her as she tried to stop him from leaving, "Don't worry..." Leo putting his hand on her head. "You can see me whenever you want, and as for finding me.... Just look in the park, I'll be around." Leo still smiling as he tried to leave again, but Alice still holding his arm wouldn't let him leave.

Alice was swept off by the five girls she had just met and taken into another room. They kept poking and prodding her; taking her measurements for a uniform, if she remembered correctly. Ryou was waiting at the door when they finally let her go. He led her up the stairs and into a room. It was small and bare except for a desk, a bed, and a lamp. She bowed to him. "I am at your mercy. Please regard me kindly." He nodded and left and she stared out the window that was against the back wall of the room. "Goodnight Leo. Sleep well." She whispered before heading to bed herself.

~The Next Day~
Leo was waking up, like if yesterday was all a dream. Leo started to laugh a little as he then started to get sad. "Well, that was a nice dream." Leo retreating into his knees as he curled up to them. Leo now starting to whisper, "I wish it could have only lasted a little bit longer." Leo trying to sleep again, but just seemed to not be able to.

Alice rubbed her eyes as she woke up. At first she thought the prior day had all been another escapade of her imagination, but she quickly came to realize that she was in her room at the cafe'. She sat up and pulled on her clothes before running down the stairs. It seemed that she was alone. No one else was up. With this for encouragement, she took off for the park.

Leo realizing that he wasn't going to get back to sleep he jumped out of his tree and started to walk around the park to get his mind off of what happened in his dream wishing it was real.

Alice was so preoccupied with her joy at the thought of seeing Leo again that she bumped into someone. She fell to the ground and gasped. "Oh God, I'm so sorry! I should have been watching where I was going!"
