"Ok...um..." She pondered what question to ask. "how long have you been like this?" She finally settled on. It was relatively safe and listening to his answer would give her a chance to calm down.

"I don't know for sure, but my mom told me my father was an Alien and that I have these ears because of him. They look like cat ears right?" Leo leaning down a little so she could look at his ears.

"It's okay, you can call them cute if you want." Leo smiled as he started answering he next question. "And as for that one all I have is the ears..." Leo paused for a second. "I guess I am only half of a person after all." Leo still smiling even though he just put himself down.

Alice frowned for a second. She didn't like her new friend putting himself down. "Nuh-uh! You're the most fantabulisticawesometastic-ish-tis person I've ever met!" She blushed, realizing that not only had she just complimented him quite thoroughly, but also that she was making up her own words again. She really needed to get a hobby or something.

Alice felt deep sadness. Her only friend, though she had known him for such a short amount of time, was hurting himself and she had no clue what to do. She wanted to take all his pain away, but she didn't know how. Finally, she changed the subject. "So...you said there was a group of others like us?"

"Yep, there a group of girls like you who have powers and fight to save the world." Leo smiling kinda wondering why she looked a little sad. "There called the Tokyo Mew Mews. They fight Aliens like me that come to take over that world... But unlike me, they weren't born here and they don't understand why we fight to protect it." Leo looking away from her and looking at the lake. "The first time I met the Mews, they thought I was with them and tried to kill me..." Leo looking like he was remembering something important, "... but in the fight I had beaten their leader and had the chance to kill her." Leo looking a little saddened, "But I didn't want them to think I was like the others, so I spared her and they accepted me as one of their own." Leo smiling again, "but I won't bore you anymore with the details, so any more questions you need answered?" Leo happy looking at her face.

Alice looked down. There was only one question left to ask really. But it was the answer I feared most. "What do I do now?" I was sick of sleeping on the streets every night, but the thought of being surrounded by strange creatures in a suddenly more dangerous world terrified her. ooc/ Not a problem at all.  |

"Well, that's not really my call." Leo said as he started to stand and dusted off his pants. "But if you don't want to be alone anymore... I'll be there with you to make sure you are never alone." Leo smiled at her as he extended his hand to her so he could help her up.

Alice took only a brief moment to look at his hand before sliding her own into it. In that moment, she knew from the sincerity in her eyes, that she would always have a friend by her side. For once things were seeming to go right. "Lead on then, Kitten-Lad!" She grinned and felt all her anxiety wash away.

"What ever you say, Miss. Fox." Leo smiled back as she seemed to feel much better now that she had a friend. It reminded him of himself when he made his first real friend. It made him happy... to see her happy.

Alice giggled at her new nickname and skipped along (somehow managing not to rip Leo's arm off in the process), following her newfound friend. She would go wherever he would lead her. After all; this kind and gentle boy was all she had.

Leo and Alice were walking down a path, when the path started to widen out until a big pink cafe' was visible. "Well, here we are Ali. Please try not to laugh." Leo smiled not noticing he was still holding her hand.

"Hmm." Alice nodded solemnly, doing her best to keep her face straight. If Leo told her not to laugh then she wouldn't laugh. After all, Leo was her friend; everything he asked of her must have some sort of reason. Oh, how her world had changed in the past month. "It's very...pink." She attempted, trying to focus on conversation rather than amusement.

Alice repressed a shiver as his breath hit her ear. Why was her heart pounding? 'Bad ears and tail! Behave!' She thought desperately. Luckily, she was saved as five girls and two guys entered the room.

"Um...I dunno..." She stepped from behind him shakily, still holding his hand. "Um, hello, my name is Alice. I'm afraid I can't see the future, and I've never been to Wonderland, but I can turn into a fox-girl. Wanna see?" She grinned hopefully at the seven faces that peered at her. After a moment of silence she stepped back behind Leo. "See? That's why I was hiding."
