"Mew Mew...?" Leo just moving to Japan wouldn't know who they were added to the fact that he didn't understand them at all. "Can you speak English?" He asked not knowing whether they would even understand him either.

"Why's he speaking English? This is Japan after all," said the blue girl snottily.
"Mint! Stop being rude!" said the pink girl in Japanese. "Lettuce, can you translate for us?"
Lettuce nodded, stepping forward. "I'm sorry, do you not speak Japanese?" she asked kindly.

"Yes, I'm new here and haven't learned to speak Japanese yet. I guess your friends can't speak English can they?" Leo asked the green haired girl as he pointed at the pink and blue haired girls.

Lettuce shook her head. Suddenly there was a bunch of shouting and people started appearing, looking for the explosion site. The girls looked around worriedly. The littlest in yellow shouted, "Guys, we gotta get out of here!"

Leo noticing the people start to show up nodded to the green haired girl. "I think we should get out of here." He suggested as he pointed to a hidden path he knew about leading to a cafe' he had passed by a few times while living in the park.

Lettuce looked startled. But that's where Cafe Mew Mew is.. How did he know that's where we were going? She signaled to the others and they all ran down the path awayf romt he growing crowd.

"You guys should be safe here, I've had to hide out in here a few times myself," Leo chuckled as he lead them down his secret path. "Well, there might be a place you guys can hide up ahead, since everyone is at the site where you guys beat that monster it should be deserted." He explained as he now exited the path. "Here we are!" Leo exclaimed as he pointed at Cafe' Mew Mew.

The girls all stood speechless. "H-how...?" managed Lettuce.
The girl in blue marched up and pointed her fingers close to Leo's face, despite having to lean up on her tip-toes. "How did you know where we were going?!" she asked angrily , forgetting Leo didn't speak or understand Japanese.

"Ahh," Leo shocked turned away from the girl now his ears popped out. "Look what you did!" He yelled at the girl as he showed them his ears. "Uhh, I'm sorry it's just you just jumped at me." Leo trying to apologize forgetting she didn't speak English.

They all stared at him in shock, speechless at the sudden appearance of his ears. "You're a Mew Mew too?" asked Lettuce after Pudding prodded her.

"Mew Mew, I don't know what your talking about... All I know is that I was born with these things and I've had to be careful all of my life." Leo explained still not knowing what a Mew Mew was. "Now, could you please tell me what a Mew Mew is?" He asked the green haired girl now wanting answers to avoid the fact that his own secret was out.

As most of the girls were still shocked, the tall purple one said, "Well we should get inside the cafe." The rest nodded, and Lettuce translated for Leo as they walked inside.

"Well... okay. I really haven't gone in there before... but it couldn't hurt." Leo agreed as he walked into the cafe' and standing inside were two men one blond and the other brunette. 'This is going to take a while I just know it,' Leo thought as he sighed a short sigh.

The blond looked at Leo patronizingly. "What is he doing here?" he asked the girls.
The pink one went behind Leo and pointed to his ears. "Why do you think?" she said bluntly.

"He he, Umm excuse me what are they saying?" Leo moving over to Lettuce. 'This is getting very uncomfortable.' Leo thought as he tried to hide Lettuce who was not nearly as tall as him.

"They're arguing over what you're doing here," Lettuce said hesitantly, keeping an eye on the quickly escalating argument.

The taller, brown haired man came over past the arguing duo and stopping in front of Leo said, in English, "So what do we have here?" he said smoothly, contemplating Leo. "It seems we've found a male Mew Mew..."

"You speak English!" Leo was stunned by this was sort of happy at the same time. "That's good then I don't have to keep asking her to translate." Leo pointing at Lettuce, "So could you please explain to me what a Mew Mew is?" Leo now giving his undivided attention to the brown haired man.

"A Mew Mew is basically a human who has had supernatural animal powers put into them," the man said. "These girls here have been helping fight the evil that the aliens have reeking on the earth."

"Not all aliens are evil!" Leo snapped as he looked around at the people around him as they just stared at him. He looked away from the people staring a him, "I'm sorry." Leo apologized as he bowed to the man he had just yelled at.
