Leo looked at Blood, wanting to ask the question. "Did you know my mother...?" He asked weakly.
Blood slowly walked over to Leo and hugged him tightly while changing into a solid form. "You little fool, isn't it obvious.... I'm your mother." She whispered.

Aya looked around and saw Yoh and the others sitting in a massive crater as Sydra jumped off.
"You guys alright?" Aya asked.
Aya remained on the feather as she neared the group.
"You guys finally landed, huh?" Sydra snapped only to get hit in the shoulder by Aya.

Ren scoffed. "Yes, we finally landed," he said with a snicker, turning away from the others. "Where the hell are we anyway? Before descent they said that we had a month to find this Patch Village. Does anybody even know what state we're in?"

Houka looked over at Ushio, sticking out his tongue and saying, "Well yours would still happen to be lower than mine." He said, looking back up. "Seriously, all I've ever seen you do is scout the damn area."
Kaze shrugged. "Judging by the desert, I'd say somewhere deep south." He stated. "Although I don't even see a town anywhere."

"You're in the four corner area, Jackass." Sydra snapped at Kaze.
Aya hit Sydra and looked at Kaze.
"Syd is from this area. She could help up out." Aya stated.

Kaze shrugged it off and Yoh grinned and chuckled a small bit. "If she wants to help we should let her Kaze." He said and Kaze shot Yoh a dirty look. Why was everyone getting so good at those?

"Okay. We need to find the next town. If I know where we are I'm sure that will point us in the right direction. That direction being my house. Aya, you can stay up there for a while. So, let's hoof it boys." Sydra smiled, as she began to walk.

"Insolence." Ushio said, robotically. "Your previous actions just moments ago have proven above all else that your success rate has dropped by approximately 17%. Acting recklessly without the word of your commanding officer often leads to the death of your commrades and/or yourself. At any moment another shaman could have been provoked by your gunshots and grown the intent to kill you and all you were with." She spoke this all in one breath without blinking. When her calculations were complete, she wrapped her arms around Eioku's waist and buried her face in her shirt. "I refuse to let your disregard for all other lifeforms to be the downfall of our apprentice, Houka."

Ren raised an eyebrow. "And do you have any idea where we're going? We have no idea where we are, where we're supposed to be going, let alone which way the next town is. You have no idea what's out there."

"Like I said Ren, I'm from this area. We find the nearest town and I can figure out where we are." Sydra stated. "Aya, how long do you think before you can walk?"

Aya nodded and climbed off the feather. Sydra sighed and moved to where Aya was. She caught Aya as she fell against her.
"Ren, you're gonna need to carry this girl." Sydra stated.

Ren's eyes narrowed into a dark glare. He couldn't believe that this new girl was trying to force orders upon him... as if she had some form of authority. The only reason that he complied was because Aya looked like she needed help, and he wasn't going to back out of the fact that he needed to speak with her.

Aya was transferred to Ren and Aya looked at him.
"Sorry, I don't even remember what happened for me to get like this." Aya whispered wrapping one arm around Ren's neck.
Sydra released her spirit control for the moment and glared at Ren as he led Aya away. Another breakable man.

Ren let his arm drop to Aya's knees and scooped her up into his hold, an emotionless look on his face. Without even a second glance at Sydra, he walked ahead, making sure to stay at least ten paces ahead of everybody else.
"Listen. About what happened in the hospital..."

"You don't have to tell me... It was something that just happened. I understand." Aya said.
She looked at Ren and smiled. She dropped her gaze to his chest and reached toward the necklace.
"I'm just happy you're okay and you recovered well. Don't worry about it. I'll get over it." Aya whispered.

Ren's eyes wandered down to the pendant that she so desperately clung to, and thought back to the events that had occured on the plane.
"Aya... Are you and Leo...?"

"To be honest, I don't know. Something in me wants to say yes but I can't remember if he said something that would suggest otherwise." Aya whispered. "I wish I could remember that way I would know if he broke my heart or not."
Aya let her hand fall from the necklace and her eyes became sadder.

Houka flapped his arm to mimic Ushio's talking and just sighed. "If they were going to attack they would still have to come down first." Houka said, blowing the hair away from his eyes only to have it fall back in front of his face. "Honestly if you spent less time on your calculations and more time actually defending the group you'd probably have more respect from me."

Aya looked at the ground still clinging onto Ren. She shook her head.
"No, Sydra said I collapsed and she helped me with the fall. I can't remember much else." Aya whispered, reaching to her head. "It hurts to think about too."

Eioku looked down at Ushio with soft eyes. "Look, Ushio, there's no reason to start a fight with Houka. He already stopped the assault, so it's okay. No need to drag it out, okay?" She said, patting Ushio's dark hair.

Sydra crossed her arms waiting on Aya and Ren to come back.

Ren sighed, nodding once. "I understand," he exhaled, looking back over his shoulder. "All right. I'll slow down so that they can catch back up." So many thoughts were racing through his mind. The kiss that he had given to Aya had practically given him the idea that he was now bound to her, but she was clearly in love with Leo. Plus... When he'd held Eioku back on the plane, it just felt... Right?

Ushio's eyes softened, eventually shutting themselves. She nodded once, burying her face into the fabric of Eioku's tanktop. "Okay..." She whispered, her voice higher than usual.

Aya looked up at Ren and sighed.
"I'm sorry that I can't walk at the moment. I don't even know how I got this." Aya whispered.
She looked at the bandage on her arm and sighed.
'Oh this is working my last nerve. I'm going to have my hands full with these two guys. Aya, sleep.' Sydra snapped.
Aya leaned against Ren and started to fall asleep. Sydra smiled and continued with her walk.

Ren clenched his teeth together, distressed by her instant slumber. Something was wrong. Very wrong. He glanced up to the Sydra girl, trying to read her. Clearly, she wasn't all there. There was something on her mind. She was looking at Aya as if she were... something to eat.
