Hitomi felt her heart pulsate slightly as he said the word, "sweetheart." It made her cheeks flush a little bit, but not a whole lot. She grinned at him. "Thank you," she said, standing. "You know, you're going to draw attention walking around like that. Don't you think we should make our meetings a little bit more... private? More secluded from the 'evil ones?'"

Kisshu raised an eyebrow. "Why Hitomi, I thought you didn't feel that way." Smirking he pulled her to him, capturing her eyes with his as he teleported her away from this boring public place.

"Ah!" She gasped as she was forced closer to him. As the air around her became thinner and thinner, Hitomi clung to his shirt out of instinct, wondering exactly what the hell was going on. In a matter of a second though, it all came rushing back.

ooc/ WHOOT! Larken-Sama guess what! SNOW DAY! YAY! Btw (ahhh! Chatspeak attacks) my little brother says hi and he likes your signature picture.
-x- When they had teleported, they were in an abandoned section of the park. He smirked down at Hitomi, loving the look of wonderment in her eyes. That curious sparkle was enough to drive him mad. "Are we alone enough for you, Hika-Chan?" He was pleased that she wasn't fighting him every step of the way. That meant that he would be able to amuse himself through the boring days by playing with her. And someday, she would be his.

Hitomi leaned back on his arm a bit, but didn't pull away. The area they were in was dead silent and secluded, as if all life was completely devoid of the area. "Ki-Kisshu..." She exhaled. Teleportation... another one of his many strange talents as an 'alien.' How curious... She looked up, her grip on his shirt loosened up completely so that just her hands rested on his chest plate. "Where is this?"

"The park. Just a section that you don't know yet." He informed her. He looked down at her hands and then looked back up at her with an eyebrow raised. "Comfy, Hika-chan?"

Hitomi blinked, her cheeks flushing red again. She yanked herself back, stuffing her hands into her pockets. "I-I didn't mean something like this. This isn't a date, okay?" She didn't even mean that day. Damn him...

"Of course not." Kisshu replied, even though he didn't believe her. She was just playing hard to get, he was sure of it She would come around soon enough. He just had to keep trying. "You just said you wanted someplace private is all."

Hitomi looked at him with only her eyes, turning away on the heel of her shoe. She took two long strides forward and leaned her torso down so that her body was at a 90 degree angle. With an immense intensity, she stared down at a dead plant. "This place hasn't been taken care of in ages. Stupid H.O.A.'s..."

"H.O.A.'s?" Kisshu looked at her, puzzled. "Is that a human term?" He came and stared at the plant as well. "This is what the whole planet will be soon; nothing but a lifeless landscape." He sighed.

Hitomi glanced up at him, full headed this time, slightly shocked by his choice of topic for discussion. "Uh... Yeah, I guess so... But I'm sure that if given time my fellow humans will step up to the plate... Many already have, they're just not doing a very good job." She looked back at the dead plant and stroked one of the black leaves with its fingertips. "Hmm..."

"Suure they will." Kisshu didn't even try to hide his sarcasm. "Take a look around, Hitomi. This place has gone to hell!" He rubbed his forehead with his hand. "You don't even know how lucky you are."

Hitomi looked away, her eyes suddenly soft and thoughtful, her lips quivering a bit. "Yes, I do," she exhaled. "Don't make conclusions that you can't back up with fact... I..." She lowered her head quickly to hide the tears that were glistening in her eyes. One day, she knew, he would have to kill her... Because of them... "I HATE my fellow man! They're so stupid!"

Kisshu sensed the immediate change in her. "H-Hitomi...I didn't mean to upset you..." He leaned down to look into her eyes and put a hand on her shoulder. "I didn't mean you, Hitomi. I know that you try."

The shoulder that Kisshu had touched was shaking, as was the rest of her body. She had her hands down at the sides, clenched into tight fists. Her eyes were hidden behind her bangs. "It doesn't matter! No matter how much one person tries, nothing ever changes! You're right... You're really right... and..." She shook her head once. As she spoke, her voice cracked. "...and you deserve it more than us..."

Had he won? Had he really made her see the truth. "But you deserve to be here too, Hitomi." He said. "I could keep you with me. I could keep you by my side...even if it's just as a best friend!" He became excited as he realized this. He may not have won her heart, and she may not be Ichigo, but it was such an achievement.

Even in his more optimistic tone, she couldn't feel any joy out of his words. What about her Mom, the graves of her brother and father...? No... How could she leave that all behind simply for the pleasure of a life? "No..." She said, letting a tear escape her eye, never looking up to him. "What kind of coward would I be to let an invading race destroy the beauty that I grew up with? I want to restore it... not... not kill it... Not run away..."

No. He had not won. He had merely upset her. He sighed. "I wish there was a way we both could win then, honey. However, it's not likely. There isn't room for everyone on the planet." He sighed again.

More tears evaded the security of her eyelids. "There's plenty of land...!" She exhaled, shakily. "There's enough for a truce! We can help, can't we? We have the damn resources...! We have the resources...!" A sob broke deep in her throat, her hands flying up to her eyes to force the tears to go away. "We're so selfish...! We're so damn selfish...!!"

"Hitomi!" Kisshu took her into his arms, wanting to stop her crying. She wasn't supposed to cry like this. She was only supposed to cry when he planned it that way. He stroked her hair softly. "It's ok, Hitomi. It's not your fault. It's ok."

Hitomi sobbed into her hands, mentally blaming humanity for the death of her father, the murder of her brother. Her body shook under his arms, until eventually she lowered her hands and hugged him back, burrying her face into his shirt. "It's not fair... It's just not fair..." They were killing off thier own kind, those dreadful humans, and for what? Self satisfaction? Maybe they DESERVED to die. "Not fair... not fair..."

"Hitomi, it's ok." He tried to comfort her. He wasn't really sure how to react. He had never had to comfort someone like this before. "Um...I'm here..." He told her. "It's alright."

Hitomi forced herself to calm down, her sobs slowly but surely fading away into soft, normal breathing, yet she never let go of him. She was embarassed to pull away and look at his shirt, which was more than likely drenched with her tears... "I'm so sorry..." She whispered.

"Don't be." He murmured to her. "It's ok. I'll hold you when you cry, Hitomi, because I love you." He loved holding her in his arms. She seemed so very frail at this moment and he loved having the opportunity to hold her close.

"I'll hold you when you cry, Hitomi, because I love you." "Because I love you..."
The words echoed in her head, every tone of his voice dancing with her thoughts to send sensual emotions all through her body. As she took in what he said, the tears were back. She nuzzled her face back into his shirt. "I love you, too, Kisshu..." She exhaled. "But not like that..."
