Rae groaned, it was even worse because they knew it. This. Was. Going. To. Suck. She shook her head, "This is unfair." She then looked at them and tried to smile but it failed misribley and looked like a smirk. Why me? I haven't done anything REALLY terrible, so why must I suffer so much?

Leo just looked at her smirk and then back to Alice, he smiled. "I think that one was a smile." Leo chuckled as he thought it would be fun to have someone that opposite to himself as a friend.

Rae glared at him, wierd smile gone, "No, it really was a smirk." Leo just grinned at her. "Seriously, it was a smirk. I don't DO smiles either." Alice smiled at her too. "You guys are going to drive me insane..."

Leo walked back over to Rae leaning down to be eye level with her, still grinning. "It's okay to smile and be happy once in a while. So don't think you need to have your guard up all the time." Leo placing his hand on her head with his stupid grin still on his face.

Leo walked behind Rae and hugged her as she seemed to be so sad, which on the inside made Leo sad. "It's okay to be happy, we'll help you... because we're your friends now. And I always help my friends." Leo in a seriousish tone as his smile started to turn into serious face, even though she couldn't see it.

Rae stiffened and it took everything she had not to snap his neck. She wanted to, but soemthing told her to stop. It might be because he wasn't fully human and all that, but she just called it instinct. She did push him away, with more force than actually needed. "Please don't touch me? I don't like it at all." Her muscles wanted to kill him (something called muscle memory) but she stopped. No more blood, not yet.
"You guys seriously wouldn't like me if you knew everything about me. I will do anything to find my family. Anything. Rae tried to emphasize the anything part, trying to make them understand that she was too different. She didn't need a friend, and even if she did, she couldn't trust these people. Not yet.

Leo just looked at her with his eyes the same as they were when Blood was in control. He walked back over to her and smacked her across the face to snap her out of it."You idiot! Don't think your life is so bad that you can be down on yourself all the time and thinking that way won't help you get your family back." Leo his head down not looking at her as she just looked at him. "You shouldn't think that you can do it alone... because that kind of thinking will get you killed." Leo still not looking at her because falling from his eyes were tears that started falling to the ground as if they were weighed with a heavy burden.

Rae didn't stiffen. She didn't look from the postion her head had gotten into when he'd slapped her. She didn't move; she didn't feel. Rae didn't do anything. The girl, Alice, looked shocked. Rae then looked at Leo, he was crying. A weird pang went through her, one she felt years ago when her family disapeared.
"I've been alone. I've always been alone. It's never bothered me, it hasn't. I owe something to them. Because of that, I won't let anything kill me." Even if it means killing. "I know my life isn't that bad, heck, it's not that bad really. But I was seperated from the one person I've ever trusted and that hole can't be filled at all until I find him. I know you're trying to help me, and I think I might actually appreciate that but I've done things...and will still do things unspeakable until I get them back. Nothing you do or say is going to stop me."

Leo his eyes still full of tears and sadness were serious and stern as he looked back at her. "Then I will help you find the person that you've been separated from. Because I don't want people to go threw all the sadness that I've had to deal with." Leo turned around, "Let's go or we might not find your family and you really will be alone." Leo now started walking a little bit as he was serious about what he was doing.

Rae stood there for a second, then decided that he would be like the others. She'd gone over three continents and many had made that same promise. None had stayed with her. I don't know whether or not to hope he's different from them, or whether he'll leave me like they did. She actually started to feel the sting on her cheek, now that the initial shock was gone. Something twinkled in her eyes for a moment, then was gone.
Rae cleared her throat, "They're not that way, I've already checked everything in Japan that way." She turned her heel and started walking.

Rae turned momentarily to glare at him. "Another thing. They aren't in North America, South America, and they WERE in Europe for a time but moved somewhere East. I checked most of Western China but only found that they were moved again to Japan. If I...er...we don't find them soon, they'll be moved again." They HAD to have been moved...I mean, its not like they abandoned me or anything...

"Then let's hurry before that happens!" Leo exclaimed grabbing Alice and Rae's hands pulling them along making sure he didn't rip their arms off in the process as they ran along.

Rae tried to jerk her hand out of his, "We can run faster without...well...this...!" And then she sat down, jerking them to a stop. "Besides, they could be in that building," Rae pointed at a building they just passed, "Or at least could have been seen by them." By now, Rae'd accepted that she wasn't getting rid of them very quickly. Maybe discouraging them will work?
"Looking for someone is time consuming. Espicially when they've been lost for a long time..." Rae's eyes glazed over as she got lost in thought.

Rae looked at him, fire in her eyes, "Of course they're alive!" Somehow, her ears had only focused on the words, 'as long as they're alive,' "If they weren't alive, I would know. I would've have found them. And I would've died that day, maybe not physically, but I'd be a walking zombie." She wanted to wack him on the head with her bo staff, but refrained from doing so.
