Alice blushed. "Pancakes with strawberries...if it's not too much..." She felt bad. Leo did so much for her. She wished there was something that she could do for him...

"Sure no problem," Leo smiled as he started preparing the batter for the pancakes. "So Ali... you said you didn't get much sleep last night. Is there something wrong?" Leo asked trying to keep her occupied while he was making breakfast.

"Wha? Oh no..." She shook her head. "It's nothing new. I'm just a bit of an insomniac is all." She didn't want to tell him about the nightmares. She didn't want to worry him.

Alice sat and watched him with a smile. It felt so good to have such a good friend. She was glad she could count on Leo to be there. "Same here, Leo." She promised.

Leo now finishing the pancakes was setting them on one plate and walked back over to her setting the plate in front of her. "Well, dig in." Leo said merrily as he sat across from her.

"I don't know really, most likely work here at the cafe' today to pay off for the pancakes I just made you." Leo smiled as he knew that would most likely happen anyways.

Alice blushed before leaning up on her tiptoes to kiss his cheek. "Thank you very much." She whispered. He was the nicest anyone had ever been to her. He was her closest friend. She held him so dear.

Leo blushed a little bit as he touched his cheek after Alice had kissed it. It was really weird to be kissed by a girl even if it was just the cheek, but it made Leo very happy. "You didn't have to do that?" Leo smiled as he felt kinda embarrassed.

"Oh," Leo said as his ears soon popped out after hearing that. Leo not knowing what to do just sat there his face almost as red as hers as he couldn't bare to look at her face if he had any hopes of calming down enough to change back.

Alice couldn't believe what she had just said to him. And what's more, she couldn't believe how he reacted. He was blushing and he had popped his ears out too! He wasn't really looking at her and she was kinda glad. She knew that her blush was beyond noticible at this point and just the thought of him seeing her blush like that made her blush even more.

Leo trying to find some excuse to make things less awkward, looked around noticing that there was still no one around. So not really knowing what do, Leo looked back at her to notice she was still blushing as her face was easily noticable. "Umm Ali, your face is still really red..." Leo said looking at her not knowing what to do since he had never been in this kind of situation before.

"Umm...I...um...Sorry..." She avoided his eyes. "I didn't...um...mean to make you uncomfortable or anything..." She kicked the floor with the toe of her shoe again. "I just..." Her voice got really soft, almost to the point of not coming out at all. "...I really l-like you, Leo..."
ooc/ I'm thinkin' I may just unofficially skip Spanish and stay in the library, so hopefully I'll still be on in a little bit in case you are.

Leo just sat there, now really nervous after hearing that. 'She likes me...' Leo thought as he couldn't believe it. Leo just smiled at her hoping to be able to get her to look at him again, he leaned over to her and got really close to her. "Hey, it's okay if you like me." Leo still smiling at her, reassuring her that it was okay. "But you don't have to be so embarrassed around me though." Leo really happy that she liked him, even if it was just a little bit.

Alice turned to look at him slowly. His smile was so reassuring that she relaxed and returned it with one of her own. Then slowly, she took his hand in hers. It was much bigger in comparison. She was so tiny... She smiled some more, happy that he hadn't run away screaming.

He just stared at her smile, knowing that everything was going to be alright now. Leo just held her tiny hand in his own not minding that she took his hand in the first place. Leo was happy there was a girl that was out there that didn't think of him as a monster... even though she had not seen the terrible sins he had committed in his past. He promised himself that for her sake that he would never let her know about his past, even at the cost of his own happiness. 'It's a small price to pay to see her smile.' Leo thought as he looked at her with somewhat sad eyes, even with his happy smile.

Alice knew there was something on Leo's mind that he wasn't telling her, but it was ok. He would come to her when he was ready. For that moment, she merely basked in the joy with being with him. That is, until they were interrupted by a certain blonde.
