he took off and shifted to a wolf appearance with her on his back and ran back to the town

She headed straight for the orphanage, jumping into a sprint. She may not be fast compared to those that aren't human but she was a fast runner by human standards. That was about the only athletic thing she could do.

Immediate a townsperson stopped.
"Miss Miller? You're alive? Oh my gosh are you okay? Everyone thought...he took you. Ms. Danny and the children have been so worried." The woman said.
"Are they okay?" Seina asked.
"Yes, they will all be so happy to see that you're okay." She said as Seina went up to the porch steps of the orphanage and knocked on the door before opening it and calling inside, "Ms. Danny?"

Immediately about twenty children, all under the age of ten, ran out and dog piled on Seina, asking questions and trying to hug her as Ms. Danny came to the door.
"Seina?" She asked in shock.
Seina waved to her under the piles of children she loved so much.

Elijah shifted into a small but cuddly wolf pup and he padded up to the orphanage and sat by her side

"Come on children give her some room, go inside. Dearie what happened? Everyone's been so worried the past two days." Ms. Danny asked her.
"I'm sorry. I'll explain. I suppose I'll be fired from work." Seina said.
"No. I called your bosses, they planned to leave your spot alone for a week even if most had assumed that you were dead." She replied.
"Yeah, a lot of people have thought so." Seina answered.

Off to the side Seina explained to Ms. Danny what had happened who just hugged her tightly.
"I'm just glad your safe. And you know that you don't have to stay here with us. The children are always good and the town has been helping more as you know." She responded.
"I know." Seina answered
