Morgan finished up putting candles out and left to go on a walk. She had no real destination in mind just walking.
Jenni sat under a tree in their yard reading as Tristan came back from work. Owen finished unpacking and putting everything where he wanted it in his room.

Eve walked out of the woods and looked over at the house, she really did think tristan was hot so she couldn't hep but stare when she saw him. she was young so it was almost like puppy love, she would do anything for him if he asked

"Have you seen Morgan?" Jenni asked Tristan as he walked down the sidewalk to the porch.
"Nope. She's probably terrorizing some bullies or something." Tristan replied.
"You people just assume the worst from me don't you?" Morgan asked coldly from the roof.
"When did you get there?" Jenni asked.
"Like two seconds ago. Climbed up from the back." She replied in a 'duh; sort of tone.

"Meh, who knows? Who cares? Look at how many fucks I give." Morgan said holding out her empty hand.
"There's nothing there." Jenni said.
"Exactly." She replied and jumped down from the roof to the ground thirty feet down.

"What time are you working tonight?" Jenni asked Morgan.
"Eight to three. Don't you have to go to work soon?" Morgan answered.
"Yeah. I should be going now so see you later." Jenni replied and went to the garage to her car and drove to work.
"Why do you work at night?" Owen asked from his window.
"Why do you work during the day?" Morgan countered.
"Because there are people out during the day and it's safer." He replied.
"Well I work at night because there are less people. Besides when did any of the four of us need anyone besides ourselves or each other to protect us?" She replied.
"She has a point." Tristan agreed from his window.
"One of the few times you two can agree is when you're ganging up on someone else." Owen muttered. The two just shrugged in a 'we can't help that' sort of way.

the three sat back and just stared out at the drive, there parent's were supposed to be coming home today and all of them were of course excited and just sitting and waiting for them

"Something bothering you? Your brain is disturbed by something." Tristan asked Morgan.
"I'm a disturbed person." Morgan replied shortly.
"You know what I meant idiot."
"I told you to stay out of my head moron."
"Okay you two, knock it off remember what fighting could entail? You should get some sleep Tristan, why don't you go on a walk around the neighborhood Morgan?" Owen cut in.
"Good idea." They both replied in unison. Tristan closed his window while Morgan walked off down the street.

it was a few hours later and the boys gave up on waiting but Esme just sat and waiting staring at the gates just waiting for that car

Morgan lost track of time and was almost late for work, she had to actually run because driving wouldn't have been fast enough (going by the law) so she simply ran so that she wouldn't be late.
At around eleven Jenni came home and went straight to bed. Tristan went on a run later in the night while Owen went to bed as well.

esme was sitting by the fence, her legs pulled to her chest that night as she wiped away a few tears just waiting

Tristan noticed her sitting outside and asked, "What are you doing out here so late? Shouldn't you have gone to bed? Don't you have school tomorrow or something?"

He was still confused by her logic, they clearly had many windows to see out of in their unnecessarily large mansion but he decided not to say that and responded, "Okay then but you should probably grab a coat or something, it's getting colder out. But even if your parents are late or something don't let that ruin your birthday. I'm not big on my own birthday but if you like celebrating yours then don't let other people ruin it for you and you should go to bed soon before you get sick or something."
Tristan wasn't the kind of person to tell people what to do, only give advice and suggestions even if the girl was being stupid for sitting outside in the cold like this when there were perfectly good windows to sit by and watch out of but he and his siblings weren't looking for friends here so he wasn't going to try anymore than what he's already done. He gave a wave and headed back to his house.

Later, very early in the morning, Morgan walked home after work. She was glad that she didn't drive, she enjoyed the night walk with few people out.

the next morning there was a car in the driveway with a bow on it, her parents expected a car to make her feel better for not coming home but it never would

Tristan and Owen went to work as usual while Jenni sat in the backyard reading and Morgan hung out in the front yard staring up at the gray cloudy sky. It being about nine in the morning kids would be at school now and adults would be at work so it was a peaceful morning

Morgan noticed and wondered, Why the fuck isn't she in school? But didn't care enough to ask, she just wasn't in any kind of mood to be around any people so she got up and walked down the street with her hoodie hood pulled over her head and earbuds stuck in her ears.
Why of all places did one of those stupid portals have to be in a place like this? A neighborhood of a bunch of stuck up rich people who don't even bother to come home to their kids whom they allow to grow up spoiled rotten? She thought sourly as she walked. Thoughts such as these have been consuming her mind ever since she met Eve's moronic eldest brother Jameson and his stupid friends.
