She decided to go walking and took on her human appearance without the wings and went walking through the woods
He got up to discover that he had bruised some ribs and cursed

Axella walked by, not noticing at first that he was there.
Kayne did what he could to ease the pain before going to bed. He would be okay in about a week

She looked at the sky and knew that it was going to start storming soon, and it was going to be a pretty bad one, most likely some tornado warnings in with it as well so she bent down and nudged him.
"Hey. Alexander wake up." She said lightly shaking him.
The next morning Kayne headed to work at the restaurant. He was glad it was Friday because he didn't work Saturday and Sundays

"Yeah, it's about to storm, gonna be pretty bad. You should get home." She answered.
Kayne worked as usual, he was one of the few student age who worked during the week, most others were in high school or college

"Oh yeah, I'll be fine." She answered. She didn't really like storms because it brought thunder, she was okay with rain and lightning but the thunder always reminded her of being underground or near volcanoes, things she absolutely hated. Not that she would say anything about her dislike of thunder, especially to someone she had only known for a day.
Kayne continued to work, most of the people who came in were old people since they were retired

(ah okay)
A loud rumble of thunder shook and pounded the area causing Axella to jump and was back to her normal size, having severely lost concentration.
"Well...later." She said quickly with a wave and whirled around, about to fly off to go hide in a tree hole or something.
There were only three employees, besides the host and hostess working, Kayne and two women.

No such luck so she chose a last resort place. A small cave in the midst of a large group of boulders near the river.
I should just go home. This is not going well. I wish I could build and make stuff, then I wouldn't have a problem. She thought while sitting at the mouth of the cave.
"Hello. Are you ready to order?" One of the waitresses asked. She was a very pretty girl half Korean and half American keeping the more tanned skin and silky black hair but had bright green eyes.

he sat in the all glass sun room watching the storm very worried about her

Oh you're such a weakling. It's just thunder, if anything lightning would be the scarier thing. An angry sounding voice said in the back of her head, at times like this a part of her, like a person's conscious, would be this way, she figured it was because of the offensive magic that created sort of a personality that would give her a "pep talk" when she was scared or really upset. Since it was still her she didn't bother responding to it.
"Okay, be right back." She said with a smile and walked off. Kayne was working nearby but where Skye was sitting was right next to his section

The rain poured harder and the wind howled, being almost as loud as the thunder so Axella was able to bear it a little more until lightning struck nearby bringing the loudest thunder clap she had ever heard. She yelped loudly covering her ears
He noticed that she was there but continued to work and gave a wave as he walked by

he grabbed an umbrella to keep the rain on the trees from soaking him and he went to find her

Axella had fallen asleep after the thunder stopped. Where she stayed in the cave didn't really protect her much against the rain. not that she cared about that.
At around noon Kayne got off work and headed to a cafe that was adjoined with a bookstore

She continued to sleep, generally a hard sleeper unless it was storming.
He got something for lunch and sat while reading
