Aya looked at him... It was all her fault this had happened. Now it was too late. Aya dropped her head.
"I thought- I could remove the sadness like you had done for me but... I'm so sorry." Aya whispered as she turned away.

"You still could have, and I didn't take away your sadness... because you're still sad now." Leo said turning around to look at her, but she had her back turned.

"My happiness doesn't matter. I've told you that so many times before." Aya said, looking at him. "I'm never supposed to be happy. I knew that from the start. I was never supposed to be loved."
Aya sighed. She was lost. She wanted to accept her fate because resigning to death would be no suffering or pain.

Leo then started to stare at her back before grabbing her from behind and holding her tightly in his arms. "Baka, you're happiness should be the most important thing to you... don't just say that you were never suppose to be happy, you more than anyone I know deserve to be happy... and to be loved." He said holding her and not letting go.

Aya rested her hands on his arms.
"You don't understand. My life means nothing. My grandfather has made that clear. Even Eioku has and I've accepted it. Nobody cares and... It's something I was born to do." Aya whispered as her eyes softened.

"Then I never want to understand something so wrong, you're a human too... you have the right to be happy just like all the other humans." Leo said as his eyes began to soften even though they stayed red. "I won't let you accept this, and I won't accept it either..."

"That's just it. I may be human but I can't live a normal life. That's what the Asakura line has been cursed with. No one has ever change the destiny anyone in our clan has. All the stories and training- You may want to stop it but their is nothing you can do, Leo. I'm sorry." Aya whispered, as a tear fell on Leo's hand around her.

Leo held Aya tighter, not ever wanting to let go. "Then I will do it, I will be the first to change your destiny... or I'll die trying." He said before turning her around to wipe away her tears.

Aya dropped her head to keep Leo from seeing her like this again. Nearly everyone on the plane was asleep.
"I can't let you do that. This person before you isn't worth it. I couldn't live with myself if you died in my place. It's not right for you to do something for someone you've only known for one day." Aya whispered.

"That one day to me made me feel like all the years before it, the one's filled with the feeling of being alone and sadness.... were all not even real. Aya's tears began to fall harder and reached to her face to wipe her tears. She couldn't understand what was happening to her.
"Then why did you leave? I don't understand any of this. Yoh and Kaze need you. I needed you and now I don't feel like being alive anymore. I don't understand why you would care about someone like me. A hopeless nothing in this wor-"

Leo then moved suddenly, kissing Aya as passionately as he could. He didn't want her to say anything like that about herself again, it broke his heart to see her say she was not important in the slightest.

Aya was caught off guard by this kiss. If he cared about her so much, why did he leave? Why didn't she hate him and why was he kissing her? If she was so worthless, why would he matter so much to her? She was having so many questions running through her mind but none of that seemed to matter. Aya closed her eyes and felt him pull her against him.
Was he getting rough with her?

Leo kissed Aya softly now as he held her in his arms, slowly leaning away from their kiss. "Aya..." He whispered as he looked at her gentle face.

Aya felt him withdraw from her lips. Aya opened her eyes and looked into Leo's. She was still crying. What was she to him? What was he to her? She fell into his chest and finally had the courage to wrap her arms around him.

"Then live..." Leo whispered as he moved her closer to him, his eyes finally changing back to their normal brown. "Please live and be happy, that's what will make me happy."

Sydra was starting to feel the alcohol and she stood up.
"You really... are an idiot." Sydra slurred. "There are people aboard this plane who want her dead and there is nothing you can do to stop them. Aya will be in danger every minute of the second round and you will not be there to protect her."

"What if the person that wanted her dead was a little closer to you than you think?" Sydra asked.
Aya tensed and held Leo tighter. It was true that Eioku had threatened her demise but she didn't need Leo to know.

Eioku, now sitting on TOP of the back of her chair, sat with her arm stiff, outstretched. Her pointer finger was harshly extended out towards a torso-less head rolling off towards the end of the isle. She had her mouth wide open, nothing but small "KE-KE-KE--" noises escaping from her throat.
