"Shamans... Officials... What are you talking about? Like those guys that who preform rituals and stuff." Leo thinking they were stereotypical shamans. 'This could take a while', Leo thought.

Kaze smacked his head. "Yoh, you tell him." He said, moving to sit on the railing. Yoh cleared his throat, as if trying to be serious. "Well you see", Yoh started, "every five-hundred years there is a Tournament for the one who will basically control the world. The Shaman King." Yoh put his hands behind his head and laid down on the deck. "The officials are from the patch tribe."

"So you want me to believe that this 'Shaman King', can control the world... how come I've never heard of this before." 'Idiot, it must be a secret. Why else would you not know about it?' Leo thought while face palming himself mentally.

Yoh grinned. "Well, think of it this way. If people knew of the few that could see ghosts, they'd think we were mutants or witches or something like that. Witch hunts would probably come back in style except instead of burning them at the stake, there would probably be people being blasted with AK-47s."

"That makes sense... but why tell me all this. Now that I know, why didn't you kill me or something." Leo asked now thinking, 'You probably just gave them a great idea Leo, you idiot', as he continually mentally face palmed himself.

Eioku had fallen to the couch, her arm slung over the side of one of the arm rests. She stared blankly at the floor, heavy thoughts suddenly pouring in on how close the Shaman Fight truly was. Glancing up with only her eyes, Eioku scanned the many men within the room, realizing that eventually... she may have to fight any one of them. For her own sake as the future king, she hoped that somebody would knock them out first, so that there would be absolutely zero chance of hard feelings when it came to returning to their normal lives. Then again... If she did become the Shaman King, would her life ever truly be normal again? Could she return here, to this place -- Funbari Hill -- and live amongst her friends? Would they ever truly accept her if she had beaten them? Eioku shook her head, forcing the thoughts away. This was no time to start worrying about stupid things like eliminating her friends. That was far off from the current time... Right?

ooc/ Thanks, but he wasn't here for long. He had something to attend to. XD
Leo started to be filled in by Yoh all there was to really know about Shaman's and the Shaman Fight. He soon realized that he was getting into something much bigger that himself. This could decide the fate of the entire world. "Hey Anna, would there be any way for me to join the Shaman Fight?" Leo wanted to know if he could help.

Kaze rolled his eyes and made a 'pfffft' noise. "How can I join he says..." He said, completely out of personality. Yoh scratched his head as he grinned. "I think he's trying not to laugh cause you have to be a shaman to join." Yoh explained as Kaze moved across the room to Eioku. 'Please don't piss her off...' Yoh thought as he continued to look out at the stars, waiting for the one that would change their lives.

"But I can fight because... of this thing inside me. I don't know why, but I want to help you guys cause I feel something bad will happen soon." Leo explained as he started to get up and walk to Yoh. "I know that I might not be a Shaman, but I know I can fight just give me a chance." Leo pleaded softly as he watched the stars with the young man next to him.

Yoh's face did not change, neither did the direction he looked. "Leo", he started, finding it hard to continue. This person he barely knew wanted to help them all, and it wasn't his decision on whether or not he could compete. "I really don't know Leo." Yoh said, now looking at him with a grin. When suddenly, he heard a noise. Sounding like.... Flames? Kaze had run to the balcony to get a better look. He erupted out, "IT'S THE DESTINY STAR!" Standing up, Yoh leaned on the balcony to get a better look. "It's all gonna change now..." The Shaman Tournament had begun.

"So that is the Destiny Star, huh... it's more beautiful than I ever imagined." Leo in amazement at the wonder that lied in front of him. Mesmerized by the comment something started to make Leo feel strange as if his ears had popped out, which they had. But for some strange reason he didn't mind them at the moment. 'There is something about this star that makes me feel strong', Leo thought as he tried to look away, but just couldn't move his head.

Kaze stood at the balcony, eyes wider than a six-year old who had just had thirty-six lollipops. "Wait." Kaze said, shaking his head from the entrancement he was in. "If there's two stars, where's the other one?" Yoh did not want to answer that question, it would scare these two friends he hadn't known for too long. He swallowed loudly and said, "Right behind it."
Hao saw the fiery star and widely smiled, a small chuckle escaping his breath. "Spirit of Fire..." He said to the large, red spirit behind him. "It's almost your lunchtime..."

Leo didn't fully understand what was going on, but he knew something big was going down and he wanted to know what. While he watched the star, he heard another strange roar similar to the one he had heard before. "Yoh, I know you heard that. If your a shaman and you can hear and see spirits and I'm not a shaman, why can I see and hear them, too?" Leo asked not knowing if the answer he was going to get would be the one he was hoping for.

"Huh." Yoh said, pondering the situation. "Well, you could be like Ryu of the Wooden Sword! He got possessed by a strange lizard bandit by the name of Tokegaroh. When he forced him out, Ryu seemed like he could interact with spirits." Kaze moved over to Leo and put out his hand. "If you are a shaman, welcome to the freak show. We come in groups."

"Freaks, huh." Leo laughed with a initiated tone in his voice. "At least you don't turn into a Neko when you do something. You look human no matter how I look at you, me not so much." Leo blurted as he showed Yoh and Kaze his cat ears. 'The fact that he is calling himself a freak and joking about it shows how immature he is.' Leo thought not really understanding why he was so angry at Kaze.

Kaze retreated his hand back into it's pocket. Obviously, Anna wasn't the only one who thought he was a piece of crap. He continued to stare at the star and Yoh said, "He wasn't trying to be mean. It's just, you don't know how many people who have been great shamans have been sent to the loony bin. Not saying cat ears aren't a big deal or anything in fact, they're kinda cool."

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to snap at you Kaze... it's just I don't like it when people call me a freak." Leo apologized as he extended his hand to Kaze. "Will you forgive me for being so rude?" Leo asked not really knowing the full background.

Kaze reluctantly put out his hand again to shake Leo's. As much as he hated this quality, he found it impossible to hate a soul. Yoh grinned. "We're all friends again, and apparently the star is gone. My prescription is a good fifteen hours of sleep."

"Man, you sleep almost as long as me, Yoh." Leo chucked as he made his way downstairs where Eioku and Anna were waiting on the couch. "Well, it was great meeting you guys, but I need to get going, have to find somewhere to sleep tonight." Leo explained as he headed out towards the yard. "This is perfect!" Leo exclaimed as he set eyes on the biggest Cherry Blossom Tree he had ever seen.

"Thanks Yoh," Leo thanked him as he popped out his ears and jumped to the top branches of the tree. "If you need me I'll be up here." Leo exclaimed now getting ready to sleep.

Anna stomped her foot. "Fine. You can stay. Stay out of the bath house, though. There's no point in you dirtying up our water. Uck, you're so filthy... Make sure that when you wake up in the morning you strip the sheets of your mat, understand me?" Eioku lifted her head to gaze out at the sky as the Star of Destiny passed by. She rested her chin on her hands, clasped over one another, her eyes now gentle and soft, her thoughts clearly elsewhere. It's here... It's now...

Anna gritted her teeth together, but her face remained emotionless. "In other words... Get out of my citrus tree. NOW."
