Just wanted to start an RP that was focused completely around OC's... Just for the heck of it.

Rules:
1. Anyone can join
2. Site beta members have the right to make you leave. If you refuse your account will be suspended.
3. No Mary Sue / Gary Stu characters ->

6. EVERY character gets to be put in the spotlight at least once. Anyone trying to steal this spotlight (i.e., Janice is about to do a mind-numbing attack that she never thought she could accomplish before, and all of a sudden Sara jumps out of the sky and slays the enemy single-handedly) will be removed from the RP
7. Be nice
8. Be fair
9. Keep it realistic... No waffles popping up out of nowhere.
10. Please post a link to your character in your introduction

The stars above in the pitch-black sky sparkled like reflections on water, the moon being the only light in the sky. Below on the Earth, in the middle of a normally empty clearing in the forest trees, a bonfire roared. A young woman stood unusually close to the fire, staring down into the flames with an untamed eye. She seemed unphased at the heated smoke rising up into her lungs, licking at her pale skin with a tainted grace.
"Well, what do you think the answer is?" She spoke to nobody.
There was a strict silence. Nothing called back in reply. She leaned her head back, listening to the furious crackling of the flames.
"I see... Their religious group has been planning to burn me at the stake for years. That figures as much."
Letting her head fall back, she sighed, bored.
"Do they honestly think that they're going to catch me? What're they gonna do, send that Jesus dude to come and get me? Puhlease."

"So you're a witch?" Asked Tourmaline, one eyebrow raised. She had been wandering around the forest when she heard the woman's proclaimation.

Ebony glanced up, forced away from her pyromaniac fantasy at the sound of a young woman's voice. She let her dark eyes wander on the woman's physical appearance. Normal human, so it seemed. There was practically no spirituality resonating from this girl. Regardless, she felt it nessicary to answer back.
"Witch is such a... derogatory word," Ebony said, looking back to the bonfire. Her pale, ringed fingers moved her bangs out of her face so that she could stare straight into the flames. "I prefer to call myself a Caster, or a Bender of sorts."

"Okay." She shrugged. "I've never met one of your kind. All of the people in town are looking for one though, I figure it's you. They say it's against religion or something."

[Izzy-Lark]

At the words the stranger spoke, Ebony's pale lips curled into an amused smile. A cold chuckle erupted from the back of her throat as she leaned her head back. She inhaled, deeply, taking in the perfume of the firey smoke.
"They are looking for me. They plan to fight fire with fire. But they can't kill fire with fire. It only makes the flames grow larger. Bigger and bigger until they stretch all the way up to the heavens, where everything matters. Then... Then things get complicated."

"Okay then...." Tourmaline said nervously. "Well, they actually sent me out here to look for you, but instead I just went exploring. Religion isn't really my thing, and I don't believe in killing a person for reasons such as wit- I mean casting." She shrugged. "I don't really get what the big deal is. It's just magic, right?"

[Izzy-Lark]

Ebony turned swiftly on her heel, one finger extended up towards the girl's lips. "Ah, ah, ah! But you say it completely wrong!" She pulled her hand back, making a few swift movements to the other side of the bonfire. "Magic and Magick are two completely different things." She held out her hands in front of her to resemble two. When she spoke of Magic, she raised her left hand, and the right for Magick. "Magic is the bad kind, it's the manipulation of free will. I don't take part in that kind of bull. My specialty lies around Magick, using the forces of nature to bend to your will without any bad karma."

"That's pretty cool!" She said, her eyes sparkling. "Could you show me!" She asked, hopefully.

Ebony frowned at the girl's naive question. "Show you?" She repeated, letting the words roll swiftly off of her tongue. "I'm afraid that it's not quite as 'cool' as you think. I cannot make this fire transform into something brilliant, for instance... There is a rather large difference between the reality of wicca and what you see in anime."
Her eyes flashed as she gazed at the woman from across the fire pit. "But a simple being such as yourself probably couldn't grasp that, even if it were plain in front of your face."

"I-I'm sorry." She said looking down. "I just wanted to see something interesting for once in my life. Being trapped in such a stupid town isn't the most brilliant life to have." She sighed. "I didn't expect it to be anything like what you see in anime, by the way. That's all fiction. I just find interesting what others may find boring." She stated.

Ebony raised an eyebrow. "Boring? No, people don't find my culture boring. They're afraid of it. Why else would they want to find me the way that they do? They fear it." She lifted up her jacket sleeve, pointing at a pentagram-inscribed tattoo on her arm. "They fear this mark, even when its turned the right way. I don't understand it."
She let her sleeve fall and stared back into the flames.
"I could cast, if you'd like."

"Really?" She asked, looking up.

Ebony took the same finger from before and held it up to her own lips, as if shushing her from afar. "I could show you a small cast, but you have to keep your mouth shut about me," her eyes were dark, piercing into the girl from across the fire, from across the smoke. "Do you understand what any sort of blabbery business could do to me? I really don't PLAN on passing to the spirit world at this point in my life. Understand me?"

"You have no need to worry." She said and sighed. "This is the most i've talked in years and I don't associate with anyone in the town."
