Leo walked down the paths of the park as he was heading towards his secret spot in the park that was by far had the greatest view of the lake and the best cherry blossom tree in the whole park.

Misuzu walked over to the cherry blossom tree, the only one in bloom in the whole park. She noticed a boy standing near the tree and smiled. "It's nice out here, isn't it?" she asked walking over to him.

"Yes it is...." He said smiling back as he watched the girl approach him and his cherry blossom tree.

"Nope, just arrived here a few days ago." He said smiling as he looked at her, "What about you?"

"I've been here for about a day, but it's been lonely. Don't really have anywhere to go." she replied placing her hand on the trunk of the tree. "Where are you staying?"

"Here..." He said as he jumped into the tree and sat on a branch and looked at her.

"Really?" Misuzu asked climbing up to sit next to him. "I sleep on the bench near the fountain on the other side of the park."

"Yeah, I tried that but the benches felt weird to me and this is much better." Leo said smiling as he looked out towards the waters of the lake.

"It's so peaceful here though, it's hard for me to see the bad when there is so much good in this one place." Misuzu said closing her eyes.

"Yeah, it just melts your problems away doesn't it..." Leo said yawning as he leaned his back against Misuzu's arm and closed his eyes.

"In a way, yes. My mother died when I was little and then a few years ago I shot and killed my dad. Now I'm all alone in this world."

"Well that makes two of us... My father was murdered when I was very young and I killed my own mother with my bare hands when I was only 6 years old." Leo said sadly as he waited for her to run off yelling murderer.

She instead sat him up and wrapped her arms around him. "I didn't think anyone would understand me.... you're the first one I really feel I can open up to." she said crying.

Leo was shocked to see her hugging him, but he could see her crying and just hugged her back. "It's okay... don't cry." He asked her as he didn't want to see her cry.
