To those of you (if there are any of you) who are like me and are not...really good at art:
I've found this tool-thingy on the internet that basically allows you to create a character using a highly diverse creation engine thingy. If any of you are familiar with Gaia Online, then this basically allows you to create your own Gaia avatar for free using all of the parts and various accessories on Gaia. It's called TekTek Dream Avatar.
Note: You do NOT have to be part of Gaia Online to use this tool.
The system is awesome. Be sure to click on "dream free" to start creating a character. You customize your character and all and then can save a picture of (or even buy in Gaia gold, which I really don't recommend doing.) your created character.
I created my main character Luke Arrius with the TekTek tool:
