Kisshu leaned forward, his elboes pressed against his knees as he listened to her words. "No, I understand. It makes perfect sense that you'd want to preserve this sort of thing..." He looked up to her with a smile on his face, pushing a piece of her hair behind her ear. "You know, they're really going to love you."

Alice let a bit of her nervousness shine through the facade of strength she had put up. "I hope so." She murmured. "It would be nice not to feel like an outcast anymore." She admitted. She closed her eyes, trying to get back her composure.

"You will never be an outcast again," Kisshu said, wrapping a gentle arm around her neck to rest on her shoulders. "All you have to do is be there for them, to make it known that you are on our side and that you care... and they will all accept you. Take you into our world with loving arms. Take you into the paradise that will be coming to reality very soon..."

Alice smiled in bliss at the thought. A world where she was accepted, where she was no longer alone. A world where she could live in peace with her beloved, and raise a family. A world where, even being part fox, no one would think she was weird or wrong, just Alice. She smiled. "I can't wait. I can't wait to see our beautiful earth, with no more pollution or destruction. I can't wait!"

Kisshu lightly pulled her closer to him, placing his forehead down into her hair. "You'll be loved by all, you know... You'll be just like Pai, Taruto and I, considered a savior to all of them. That's what you want to be, isn't it? Their savior?" He sighed into the wonderful aroma that her hair gave off, lightly caressing the tips of her furry ears with the very ends of his fingers.

"Our world has become rotten, defiled..." He said softly into her ear. "Those who evolved from our cells are the ones making it rot. Could you imagine how simple things would be if they would just stand out of the way, if they would just leave their vanity behind and sleep for an eternity?" It seemed like he was just thinking out loud now, completely disregarding her pressence there.
The sun was setting behind the cruel blue mountain range, sending golden rays into the blue sky to create a lucious shade of purple.

"No more fighting..." she whispered. "They would just give up and die...that would be nice." She murmured. His fingers on her ears, his breath in her hair. She felt as if she was in a wonderful dream. Thoughts that would have appalled her not long ago filled her mind naturally. It was as if his words were a song in her ears, inspiring her to the core. "We could be happy then, and no one important would have to get hurt. Only the humans would die..." She sighed. "That would be nice..."

"I swear I'll protect you," he said, his voice suddenly tense. "I'll keep him away from you, no matter what. I can't let you die for our selfish cause, for his selfish gain. You're no longer human, Alice, but we all know that he will not see you that way. You share the DNA of a human embodiment, and that's all that he will look at..." He shut his eyes, lightly, letting the image of the sunset sit still in his mind for many moments before saying again, "I swear that I will protect you..."

"I love you!" She whispered at him and his beautiful words. "I love you, I love you, I love you!" This joy that she felt made no sense, and yet, perfect sense. She snuggled closer to him, her arms wrapping around him and a smile gracing her lips. "I'm so happy." Tears of joy streamed down her face. "I'm so happy we're together. I love you."

A breathy sigh escaped Kisshu's throat as she spoke. He'd been inhaling her aroma so much that he'd almost forgotten to breathe. Smiling greatly, he stared down into her wonderful eyes, basking in the beauty that her lashes gave to every aspect of her face, resting gently upon those rosy cheeks. She was almost as lovely as a newborn child, he could think of no comparrison better than that of Claudia from the novel "Interview With a Vampire."
"I love you, too, Alice," he said, quietly, "and I'll never say otherwise."

Alice saw an entranced look in his eyes and wondered why. Was he seeing the same beautiful dream world as she? But if so, why was he smiling down into her eyes as he did. What was he seeing? She touched his cheek softly with her fingertips, his cool skin feeling so soft beneath them. "Why? Why do you love me? Why am I so lucky?"

Kisshu said nothing. Instead of using his words, he lifted his hands up to her back and let them rest there, lightly rubbing his long nails against her back, trying to tickle her senses to give her some comfort. "If you were like any of them, you would have been dead by now... You know that, don't you? I would have killed you off so many days ago if I thought that your strange actions and words were strange..."

Alice giggled lightly as he tickled her back. Her arms constricted around him. "I know." She giggled, squirming a little bit. He was so loving, trying to cheer her up and make her feel so important....she owed him so much...however... "If you don't stop tickling me, I'm gonna have to give your share of dinner to Taruto, though." She warned him.

"Don't taunt me when we're having such a good moment together," he teased back. "Silly little girl. That's rather rude of you, you know." He pushed her forward a bit and dug his fingers into her sides, tickling her with more force but not enough to cause her even the slighest bit of pain.

Alice laughed, squirming in his hold. "K-Kisshu! No fair!" She tried to get away, giggling all the while. "If you don't stop I'll bite you!" She threatened. It was working, however. All thoughts of being worth less than the others around her were fading away. All her sadness was packing it's bags. For some reason he had this uncanny knack to make her see what he saw.

"I'm-" She was cut off by another fit of giggles as his fingers scrabbled over her sensative skin. "I'm wonderful." She finally managed to gasp out. "You win." She continued to squirm and laugh, tears streaming down her cheeks.

Kisshu stopped instantly, putting his arms down at the sides of her head to pin her down on her back. "Oh, really now?" He asked, climbing over her. "You really think that's the way it works, huh?"

Kisshu stared down at her, his face suddenly incredibly serious. More serious than they had been in a few days. His eyes locked themselves on to hers. "Why is that? You honestly think that having me as an accessory to your being is the only thing that makes you better than any of those humans?" He asked her, his fingers scratching at the porch underneath her. "Why are you different, Alice?"
