Mew walked along the small dirt path leading around the park, her mind bored. She was, as usual, bored of what was going on. That day in specific was rather boring. Nothing had happened to her at all, making the day lazily slip by. Exciting things were becoming hard to come by.
She walked along, coming upon a bench near the large fountain in the center of the park. She went over and sat on the brown wooden bench, a small creak coming from it as she sat. She sighed and peered over at the fountain, watching the water as it fell back into the larger pool below the fountain. A continuos cycle, water falls and is carried up, destined to fall again.
She laid down on the bench, her pink hair slipping through the bench cracks. She sighed slightly andd closed her blue eyes. Her ears twitched as a slight wind blew by her. Everything was slipping away slowly. Soon enough she had fallen asleep on the bench there. Clouds gently flew acrss the sky above her as she rested, unaware of her own sleep.

Leo was walking back to his secret spot in the park when he noticed someone asleep on a park bench. It was a young girl, with pink hair and white cat ears. "Well, that's different." Leo said to himself as he walked over to the bench to get a better look at her.

A small yawn emerged from Mew, her ears twitching ever so slightly as her eyes opened to the sunlight. She squinted slightly, sun rays hurting her eyes. "Hm?" She muttered sleepily, hands moving toward her eyes. She rubbed her eyes as she sat up, vision blurry from her nap.
She widened her eyes slightly, vision clearing, to see a boy about two feet taller than herself standing there near her. His hair was a seemingly light brown, the sun illuminating his figure from behind. When her vision cleared she could see he also had cat features on him.
She scuddled up, embarrased to be caught asleep like that. "H-hello..." She muttered, still in suprise of awaking to another person. She brushed the wrinkles out of her skirt and smiled up at him, trying to make things more comfortable for herself.

Leo just looked at the girl and smiled at her as she started to wake up. "Hello..." Leo said as noticed the girl was still almost half asleep on the bench.
"You shouldn't fall asleep on the benches like that, or else you might just not wake up." Leo continued his smiling not really remembering that he once used to just lay on the benches until he found his home deep in the park.

She listened to him as he mention about sleeping on benches. "I know... It was an accident, I didn't intend to fall asleep really." She said, twitching her ears nervously. She streched her arms a little, still a little bit asleep.
She continued to look him over a few times, reviewing the same features over and over. His ears, hair, eyes, mouth, shirt, pants, and shoes. After a few times over, she stopped and focused on being a litttle more talkitive or something less creepy.
Mew resumed to introduce herself, "My name's Mew Desu!" She chimed, tail swaying with glee as she would usually be doing. If she wasn't so suprised, this is where the conversation would have started off.

"Nice to meet you Mew. My name is Leo... Leo Blackhart." He introduced himself smiling and looking like he was having fun.
"So Mew... why did you fall asleep on the bench anyways?" Leo wondering why a cat wouldn't simply take a nap in a tree.

Mew listened to the question and began to ponder. Why did she fall asleep? Everything was kind of fuzzy for some reason. "Oh!" She remembered, looking up at Leo. "I was sitting there and started staring up at the clouds. I kinda fell asleep!" That was it, that was what had happened!
Mew gazed around some more, looking around the park. The trees and grass were as green as ever. Still, she thought, something was different. In a good way, of course. Maybe it was Leo's presence there, she wasn't sure.

"Well, watching the clouds is nice... but I didn't know it could be nice enough to take a nap on a bench in the park. Leo smiled as she looked like she so happy to be in the park.
"So... why are you here?" Leo smiled as he sat down next to her on the bench.

"Well," Mew said, looking over to Leo as he sat down by her. "I don't really have a home... I just got here, though, I've never had a home to begin with." Mew continued to watch Leo, feeling it was kind of odd that a stranger was sitting next to her and talking to her. She could tell he wasn't going to kill her or anything though.

"So you are like me," Leo smiled. "You don't have a home to go back to either..." Leo sighed as he was kinda sad that he was talking to a little girl about his past.
"Then I guess that means you live on your own too, I bet." Leo sighed again thinking that he was really just talking about himself, which wasn't something he liked to do.

Mew looked up at Leo as he sighed out the words of his past. " I've never had a true home so it doesn't bother me much." Mew said to Leo, thinking about her past. "When I was born I had my cat ears and concidered an outcast. My parents simply send me to an orphanage but they kicked me out when I was only seven." Mew said, clenching her fist, tears beginning to roll down her cheeks.

Leo then just hugged the little girl to try to see if he could make her feel somewhat better, even if it was only a little. "It's okay Mew... please don't cry..." Leo said as he was hoping this would help.

Mew felt Leo as he hugged her in an attempt to calm her down. She looked up at him, her iris's color had changed to a light red now, her anger flowing through her. She gritted her teeth, her canines sharper than before. How could her family have abandoned her. Leo would probably leave now, just as they had made her leave the first time she was like this at the orphanage. She closed her eyes and cried a little more before opening them again, her eyes now blue again. Her canines were now normal as well.Still, Leo had seen her and might leave.
What if Leo sent her away? Just as her family and orphanage had done long ago. Why did /she/ have to be the one like this? Why was /her/ life Hell?

Leo saw what happened to her as she started to change and he just held on tighter to he as she started to change back, "It's okay... I won't leave you all alone... I promise..." Leo promised to her as he knew what it was like to be alone, and he didn't want a little girl to have to go threw the her best years like that.

Mew looked up at Leo, tears still in her eyes as she thought through all the memories. She smiled up at Leo, happy to not be alone in the world anymore. She brushed the tears from her eyes, gaze turning to the large fountain, the water's cycle ever-moving

Leo then started to let her go as he now thought he got the message across to her that she was not alone. "Well Mew, just call me Leo now. Cause I'm going to be your older brother..." Leo smiled at her as he thought it would help.
