She turned off the light and curled up under the covers but was having trouble in falling asleep, just laying there with her eyes closed.

and later on a small fluffy cat came in and snuggled into her with a light purr

It took another half hour or so for her to fall asleep and when she did she rolled over onto her side.

She had another night of bad dreams and frequently waking up with a start before falling asleep again after her heart rate slowed down.
