without thinking she just blurted out "why are you such a jerk!" after that she snapped a hand over her mouth

"Because I don't like children." He snapped back and walked to his car

she just opened the window "then why are you with me Kage, if you dont like children!" she called after him

[Ciel Phantomhive]

"Because when you want to play pretend you act like a grown up!" He got in his car and fishtailed out

"then you can go on without me!" she yelled at his car before turning back into her room

He went back to his hotel and undressed, changing into a speedo and going down to the pool

she went and paced back and forth in the kitchen "no i'm not doing this anymore, i'm going to go down there and i'm going to break up with him...I think...no no yes...no...yes."

He was doing laps in the pool, the sweat that poured off him blended into the chlorine bleached pool water and he kept rising up for air with every perfect breast stroke.

she had her driver take her down to the hotel again, let out a deep breath and went looking for him, she knew she had to, she'd had enough of being a childish girl to him. she'd never be enough for him anyways so why carry this on. she finally found him in the pool and tossed a ball at his head to get his attention

He pulled himself up out of the pool, water running down his tan, lean body. His roping muscles seemed to flex and relax with every beat of his heart. He was beautiful. He flipped back his dark hair and trained his gleaming eyes on her with the precision of an eagle. He seemed all too aware of what was about to happen. He closed his eyes tightly for a second and then looked at her again, completely begging with his entire being, without saying a word, that she not do what she was about to.

she looked away "I can't anymore, no matter how you look at me like that I can't do this fighting anymore Kage."

"It's been a day." He almost whispered, his voice was broken, just like his heart.

"if you are going to be mad at me for being me this wont go any where," she put a hand on his cheek while lightly kissing the other "I should go, my parents are waiting... goodbye kage" she whispered before turning away from him to try and keep strong in her decision

He grabbed her wrist and whipped her around quickly, in front of the large number of people, pulling her into him and kissing her hard on the mouth. He let his mouth explore hers for just a minute longer before he let her go and walked past her, looking at her as he did. Tears streamed down his face, but it was hard to tell because of the water. His eyes were red rimmed though, and she wouldn't be able to miss it.

she looked down, grabbed her bag and quickly just left and went back to her awaiting car, as she got in she put her head in her hands, she'd never seen him cry, she'd never seen him like that.

He went to his hotel room and showered, then sat in the bottom of the shower and bawled his eyes out.

she went home, said nothing to her parents and changed into a nightgown sitting on the balcony she just stared at the stars wiping her eyes "I shouldn't be crying, i dumped him thats it be strong Esmeralda be strong."

He got up when the water was too cold to stay in and dried off. He got dressed in some black vans, dark jeans, and a black crew neck t shirt that hugged his muscles. He slipped on his leather jacket and went to his car.

she crawled into bed and left the lamp next to her on just laying there, she couldn't get that look on his face out of her head.

He drove 3 hours the opposite direction of her house before turning around and going back to his hotel. It was about 3 in the morning.

she'd fallen asleep by then, most people were. She tossed and turned all night but the next morning she got up, cleaned up and put on a smile like nothing happened before going out for her morning jog as she always had.

He went to his hotel and climbed in bed for the next 2 hours before getting up, showering again and putting on his suit and tie.

she did her rounds in the woods then headed back inside "here you go miss," her maid handed her a glass of water, she took it and chugged it down before getting washed up and dressed into a sundress and going out into town with Maggie

Kage was out on business with some of his colleagues, discussing a new franchise for the hotel's and discussing new places to open.

Maggie sighed "i can't believe you dumped him." she said as they sat down at some fancy place to eat
"I'd never be good enough so why should i wait to get hurt more?" she asked twirling the straw in her glass "what was the worst is how he looked at me...i'd never see mr high and mighty look so...defeated."
