Niiro motioned for Kona to come to him. After a moments pause, she did. He smiled and reached out to pet her.

Axel quickly grabed onto Niiro's sleeve with his mouth, keeping Niiro's arm away from Kona, jealous that Niiro was going to give her attention and let out a small whimper.

Niiro looked at him and blinked. Kona sat down and stared up at Niiro.

Axel suddenly looked up ad the moon and just stared at it as dark clouds moved over it, hiding almost all of the moon.
