I continued to hear branches rustling but they were short, and choppy sounding.

He finally caught up to me. He tackled me to the ground and i screamed a little, only to flip enough to kick him in the jaw and re-gain stance

I heard a small scream and ran in that direction. I sensed two people about twenty feet ahead of me, they were fighting.

He rubbed his jaw only to launch at me, pulling knives from his pockets.
I pulled my own from where i tucked them in the sides of my boots and held them in front of me just in time, blocking his attack

I looked over through my prephiral vision and saw that girl.
He moved quickly though, distracting me.
I moved one wrong way and now a long gash ran along my cheek.

He smirked as i winced. "bastard" i muttered before launching myself at him and pressing my dagger to his throat. He watched me, amused. My blade was sharp and already cutting into his skin, i deepened the wound by pushing my arm up, normally this pressure would kill someone, but he wasnt human. He disappeared
