Leo noticed Ayame walk outside, he could hear her whispers from all the way from where she was because of his ears. "I'll tell you what's going on after I have a talk with Cherry." Leo still with that look on his face.

"Is that a challenge, boy!?" Momo grinned wildly, just the adrenaline rush she needed. She looked over at a small girl, great, such a mood spoiler. "'too'? She echoed the girl's words, Leo then let her go.
"Tsk, tsk, Mutt, you shouldn't have let me go." In the nearby bushes, a cockroach scuffled on the ground. Momo picked it up, and a parasite alien appeared in her now glowing palms. "FUSION!" she cried.

Leo moved Cherry back as he increased his Blood Lust, "I would figure as much from you Aliens, not even able to fight your own battles without using someone else to fight instead..." Leo looking at the girl with anger and hatred in his eyes. "You disgust me.... I will make sure you die here." Leo said as he materialized his daggers getting ready to fight.

"But the Blood Lust allows me to fight, and even if I go a little insane in the process I should be fine." Leo trying to explain himself to the little girl. "Now Cherry, move away before you get hurt." Leo warned her as the monster readied itself for battle.

"Obviously you don't understand. You won't go just 'a little insane,' you will slowly begin to loose yourself to it. Soon there won't be anything left except the blood lust." Cherry said agitated. "You don't understand how powerful the blood lust can get! If you're not careful and learn to control it, you'll end up hurting the only ones who understand you!" she was beginning to cry, the tears forming in her eyes as she remembered what the blood lust had taken away from her...

"Cherry..." Leo seeing her cry he turned back to her and tried to go back to normal, but unable to break the Blood Lust's hold. "I know you must have gone threw a lot... but I've lost almost everything I care about. And all I have left are the people behind me." Leo smiled as his eyes still had the Blood Lust inside them. "And if I have to go a little insane to protect what I love, then so be it." Leo said as he patted Cherry on the head and picked himself back up starting to walk back to the monster.

"You don't know what it's like..." Cherry said softly. "You have NO IDEA what it's like to kill your own mother with your own two hands and then kill your baby sister!!!! If Dia hadn't almost drowned me, I never would have stopped killing! I would have probably killed her too if she hadn't stopped me!!!!"

Leo just stopped and stood there for a moment, "Well... I never had siblings to begin with, but I know what it's like to kill your parents..." Leo his Blood Lust still under his control somehow. "But you have someone who cares for you now...' Leo paused for a second, "so stop crying and let me protect all of you." Leo turned his head crying tear of pain remembering what it was like when he was her age. Now starting to think that he shouldn't have started yelling his past out to a little girl who had been through just as much, if not more pain as he did.

Misuzu ran down the stairs. "Oh no, don't tell me it's his Blood Lust again." she said to herself. "I have to stop him before he gets out of control--Ayame... are you okay? You look like you just saw a ghost, which might not be too far from the truth at this point" the last bit mumbled to herself.

Ayame nodded and looked over at Misuzu. "Its... Leo... he's getting kinda scary... Cherry and him keep mentioning Blood Lust or something..." She shivered a little. "Just looking at him sends chills down my spine.... Im worried someone is going to get hurt..."

"I never knew Cherry was a half-breed, but I guess anything is possible. Don't worry about Leo, I know how to handle him." Misuzu walked over to Leo and punched him in the face. "If you want to kill something, go fight that monster!" she ordered.

Leo didn't even flinch, but just looked at her. "That is what I was going to do before Cherry stopped me." Leo with no emotion in his voice what so ever.

Ayame stared in shock at Misuzu's bravery. She was astounded by Leo's lack of response. She walked over and stood by Misuzu. "Leo, snap out of it..." she said quietly.

Misuzu smacked him again. "Leo, if you don't snap out of it, you'll probably end up killing a whole bunch of people! We can take care of ourselves!"
Cherry took advantage of their distraction from the monster and bolted over to it. her hat flew off as she jumped into the air and summoned her Cherry Wand. "I banish thee to the place where ye came from... Cherry Bomb!" she waved her wand and sent a blast of light at the monster and it caused a big explosion. "And the big monster goes boom!"

Ayame felt a strange sensation. "Sorry Leo, but something tells me this is the only way to snap you out of it..." Her amulet glowed and her nails on her left hand grew into claws. She dug one of her claws into his arm, not deep, but enough to hurt quite a bit. "Wake up Leo!" She shouted. "We need you! And this is not the way to help anything!"

Leo stood there with Ayame's claw in his arm. He look at his arm and pulled out her claws even though it was extremely painful for him. "You just don't get it do you. None of you do..." Leo said still with his Blood Lust and ears out walked back to the cafe' after he let go of Ayame's hand not saying another word to the three girls. 'I guess I'm not needed by anyone...' He thought to himself, '... after all I am only a half-breed.' Leo saddened by his own thought, but his face didn't express it.

"Ugh, Leo--" Misuzu was cut off by Cherry dashing after Leo and knocking him down. She began throwing punches into his chest.
"Baka! Baka! Baka! Baka!" she repeated as she beat his chest. "If you give up, nothing will ever go right! You'll end up giving in to the blood lust and eventually murder all those dear to you!!"

Leo was on the ground not really affected by her punches, he just took them because he knew she was right and he also knew he wouldn't be strong enough to protect them even if he wanted to. "That doesn't matter now, I don't care about protecting anyone anymore since you can all take care of yourselves without me." Leo said still no emotion, but a slight tone of sadness in his voice. He lifted Cherry off of himself and placed her back down and patted her on the head. "You guys don't even need me anyways, I'm just a burden. But I guess being the son of Kars Blackhart was bound to have it's drawbacks." Leo trying to head back to the cafe' hoping they would leave him alone already, but doubted that would happen.

Ayame started to tear up. "Leo we do need you dammit! You and Misuzu are the only ones who really understand what's going on here! The new Mew Mew's need you Leo!" She yelled with her last ounce of strength. She fell to her knees, she bit her lip in frustration.

Leo looked back at her, still no emotion on his face. He walked back over to the girls, his arm still bleeding and Ayame on the ground cold. Leo with what control he had left of his body he picked up Ayame and brought her back into the cafe'. "Maybe your right Ayame... maybe I can be of some use before I disappear..." Leo whispered as he knew she probably couldn't hear him anyways.

When Ayame awoke, she found herself on the couch in the cafe. She sat up and saw Leo bandaging his wound. "I'm sorry..." she said quietly. "I shouldnt have done that..."
