Evrey one in the castle was going berserk because the King and price had just gotten back form the war grounds and were in terrible shape.

Shizu had managed to fall asleep on the entrance floor just as she was about to leave from lack of sleep and nutrition.

When jeff walked in to get away from all the maids trying to heal him he found the girl lieying on the floor. so he picked her up and took her to his suiet so she could sleep without the noies.
