Leodonna sniffled. "R-really?" She blubbered. "Leo-Chan is the one at fault... Leo-Chan was supposed to be wearing her collar... Not supposed to wonder outside without it, or without my Mommy... But Leo-Chan was a bad girl, and... and..."

Kaoru forced himself to look away, his cheeks flushing red. "Th-The coffee is going to get cold, Hikaru..."
Hikaru frowned, releasing his hold on his brother's chin. "Oh, alright."

"A collar? Lo-chan, why on earth must you wear a collar?" Tamaki put a gentle hand to her cheek as he cocked his head slightly in a puzzled manner.

Ayumi's tensed muscles relaxed and her heartbeat regulated as Hikaru released Kaoru's chin. "You two seem so close." She whispered, breathless from holding her breath.

The two of them moved back to their seats, both sets of hands grabbing on to the cups of coffee as if a mirrored image.
"You could say that," Kaoru said, smiling in his brother's direction.
Hikaru only smiled back. "It's a sad fate, us two brought into this life as blood brothers."

Leodonna kept her eyes on the floor, tears forming in her eyes, her lip trembling. In truth, she had no idea WHERE it was that she'd lived before Anne's house. Her mother had never let her outside... "I-I'm sorry, but I..."

Hikaru tapped his fingernails against the tabletop. "Well... not really. It seems like the host club guests prefer to watch us rather than be with us."
"We're more like eye candy to them than anything," Kaoru said, pride missing from his tone.

Leodonna tried to stop crying, but the tears just kept coming and coming. (ooc/ Resembling a small child.) Soon, she had her eyes covered by her hands, and she was crying out loud.

Hikaru and Kaoru's expressions melted into lifeless stares at exactly the same second in time. "We're not into you," they said in complete, utter unison, as if it were only one voice speaking. The tones were perfectly matched, even.

Ayumi was shocked, but didn't let her expression drop. Instead her mouth pulled up into a small smile. "That's good. I don't have time for boys. I have to keep my grades at the top so that I can go to Europe to study abroad for college."

Haruhi cringed at the thought, the sound of the glass shattering on the floor ringing through 'his' head like a loud train. 'His' head dropped in despair as he spoke. "Uh... I owe them a seriously high debt..."

Kaoru suddenly looked up, his fingers only clutching the mug lightly, letting it slip up and down along the prints of the skin. "So what brought you to Ouran Academy?"
"You got some sort of big future plans layed ahead of you?" Hikaru finished, doing the same exact notion with his own hands.

"That's pretty cool," Hikaru said, lifting his cup up to his lips and taking a long sip. Kaoru leaned forward a bit, clearly more interested in the subject than his physical alter ego.
"Do you really think that you could get a job in that field, though?" He asked. "I mean, not very many jobs are in demand in that area of design anymore, I don't think."

Both Hikaru and Kaoru's left eyebrows tweaked upward at exactly the same moment, clearly taken aback by her statement, "I'm a girl." Kaoru leaned back so that he and Hikaru were in the same position.
"Seems like a reasonable argument."
"But, what if the industry is full of harsher people that you expect?"
"Might not be..."
"...As easy as you put it out to be."
