"well how about we try and find the best one. we just need to pick the movie type so it's easier to find the one to watch." she said as shun unlocked the front door and they walked in.

she opened it to see a bunch of them lined up it looked like a million. she rubbed the that of her head a little confused "uh where do I start?"

"you had alot of time on your hands didn't you." she pulled out a movie that looked scary and screamed making shun jump slightly "hey lets watch it."

Shun furrowed his eyebrows, "Are you sure, Amber-chan? If the cover made you scream then the movie would scare the daylights out of you. And to answer your question, me and my mom watched all of those to spend time together." He shrugged, "Anyway, are you sure you want to watch it?"

"yeah you'll protect me for the evil monsters right? I have never seen a scary movie before and the scream was mostly just for fun." she giggled and walked back over to the tv.

About halfway through the movie Amber was clinging to shun "scary movie baaaaad idea!" she mumbled looking at the screen.

"I'll take you to bed." Shun said quietly, smiling. Just like he had at the mall, he picked her up. Taking her to her room, he laid her on her bed. She looked so peaceful. "Goodnight, Amber-chan." He leaned down, hesitated for a second, but kissed her, "I love you."

she smiled "I love you to." she closed her eyes and fell asleep very quickly. having a dream that was terrifying and she jumped out of her bed. she looked at the clock to see it was two in the morning but she ran to shun's room

Shun shot up, Amber was bursting though the door. He got up, despite only wearing pajama pants, and wrapped his arms around her. "Shh, shh. You're okay. I'm here."

"It's okay, Amber-chan. I'm right here." He picked her up and put her on his bed, "I'll stay with you all night, Amber-chan." He kissed her forehead, "I'll protect you from them."

"As long as you're okay, Amber-chan, I'm perfect." He whispered into her deaf ears. Her breath was soothing to him and he unwillingly fell into slumber to the scent of the girl he loved.

the next morning she woke up to see Shun's mother hovering over her while a huge smile on her face. "uhhhh good morning?" she was a little uncomfortable in this little situation seeing she was in Shun's room still "we watched a scary movie last night." she blurted out so his mom didn't think any thing inappropriate happened.

"I saw the DVD and figured that." His mom looked at the still sleeping Shun, "You know he hasn't slept peacfully in a long time, Amber-chan." She smiled, "Thank you for helping him sleep well." She smiled at Amber, hoping she didn't feel uncomfortable.

"His father," She shivered, remembering memories stored away for years, "Used to hit me. And him. We ran away from my husband, but Shun is always worried that he'll come back. In fact, he has knives hidden in the sleeves of his jacket just in case." She sighed, looking at Shun, "It's not right for a child to worry about adult matters but he does and it won't allow him sleep. And when he does sleep, he has nightmares."
