Cami sighed having no hope as she sat on a bench in the middle of a park, the chilling night wind blew around her making a eerie feeling go up her spine. she was chasing a boy that looked about her age maybe a bit older, he was exactly who she was looking for, a boy with cat like traits, the one she noticed was the ears. she called for him but he ran just like the people at school did, they just ran from her terrified of what she was but not truly knowing her. "I'm guessing I should be used to it." she sighed tipping her head back to look at the stars. "people are always running from me." tears filled her eyes as she heard a quiet voice ask "why is that?"

Leo was walking through the park as he usually did at this hour, when he noticed a boy running in his direction and passed him with great speed. Leo looked at the boy as he ran away, but then shrugged and continued his stroll though the park.

what is going on I dont understand one minute no one is around then he pops out of nowhere, it's really creepy how some people can do that "it's nothing really Ive explained it to many times but no one understands what I am they just....run" she didn't really know what was going on but she felt okay talking to him about it whoever he was "I'm Cami by the way"

[Gray]

"Hi, I'm Leo. Nice to meet you Cami..." He said smiling as he stood above her while she sat on the bench.

she smiled back at him a little curious about who he was and why he was being nice to her he didn't know her at all "I'm sorry for bothering you about it I'm just frustrated with my life, I can't find what I'm looking for."

[Gray]

"And do you know what your really looking for?" He asked the girl as she seemed to be in a bump in her life.

"yes I do....but if I tell you you'll think I'm some sort of a freak" she sighed why did he want to know anyway strange guy.

[Gray]

"Just try me..." He said smiling as he sat down on the bench.

"well I have this problem where I'm well........a cat I have cat ears that pop out of my head and I'm looking for someone like me so I can be around my own people." she looked over at him thinking he was going to run away like the rest did.

[Gray]

Leo just chuckled a little, "You mean cat ears like these..." Leo said smiling as he popped his ears out.

"no way I found someone finally!" she smiled and hugged the boy and like always her ears popped up "dream come true someone who wont run from me"

[Gray]

"Why would I run away from you?" Leo asked smiling as he got hugged to the ground.

"most people find out and just plain and simple run that's what my mom called my life's melody which is how my life plays itself out." she sighed and looked at him "but things can change and most of all I really want to know why we are the way we are."

[Gray]

"That's a good question, but I think if you want it answered you'd need to talk to the Mew Mews." He said smiling as he started to lift himself off the ground while she hugged him.

"are you serious but how? you know them?" she started asking him what she thought to be way to much so she snapped her mouth shut "sorry bout that I talk way to fast for my own good sometimes" she smiled and let go of him.

[Gray]

"Yeah I know them, why you want to meet them...?" He said smiling as he got up after she let go.

"yeah I do sounds fun!" she grabbed his hand pulling him forward "lets go!" she stopped then let go of his hand "but you should lead the way because I was kinda lost before you found me." she looked down blushing because she was embarrassed for being lost.

[Gray]

"It's okay... don't feel too embarrassed about it." Leo said smiling as he patted her on the head and then started walking in the direction where Cafe' Mew Mew was located.

he seemed sweet but hey she was lost and now following him to meet the Mews. 'if I'm sleeping do not wake me up, dreams are better then reality' she didn't notice he stopped and he bumped into him "why yah stop?"

[Gray]

"We're here..." He said smiling as he pointed at the Cafe' and then started to walk off. "Well now that your here you won't be needing me..." He said sadly, but was happy that he could help someone find a place to go... even if he would start being hunted by her soon enough.

"why Leo if your not going then I will not go I need you! why wont you go in what wrong" she grabbed his hand not even making an attempt to let go "Leo what's going on" she just met someone she liked to be around she felt safe with him around, this happened last time he left her not this time not again. her eyes got misty, her eyes brimming with tears but she wouldn't loosen her grip on his hand. "were friends right?"

[Gray]

"Yeah and that's why I want you to go in... because once you do you'll be able to make more friends just like you. But I am not welcome with people like you... I'm only a half breed." He said sadly as he wanted to leave, but her hold was too tight around his hand.

"so does it really matter I don't care about that neither should anyone else!" tears fell from her eyes "and if they judge you for that I really don't want them as friends then, you helped me I want to help you." the tears fell faster as she hugged him but as she did, they must have heard because the door creaked open.

[Gray]

"This is perfect... hurry get behind me." He said as he moved her behind his back, even though she still hugged him.

"Leo what's going on?" she was a little freaked out 'what's going on why is he protecting me?' she looked over to see all of the Mew's but something seemed to be wrong, very wrong she could feel it.
